Pakistani Kurtas a hit among Indian women

The biggest issue is the Khaki need to hide its leadership errors by blaming it on India.
These are reflected time and again.
The armed forces of a nation are its pride.. and whether or not justified.. the brave men who did die under the guise of defending their nation draw respect and emotions. How these emotions are then unjustly used to generate hate and bigotry is part of history.
But time has also shown that whenever such gestures have been made from either side.. the people have responded wholeheartedly. heaven forbid another misadventure or loose nutjobs come in between.. People here do seem fed up with the looming doom of conflict. There is always reason to be prepared for it, to buy arms and train for war..
but there are many more reasons to make sure that there is peace.

I appreciate both your sentiments and the underlying logic.

The Armed Forces of a Nation are its pride as it undoubtedly should be. But we have to be careful not to raise that level of pride/exalted status to "divinity". I do say this with due regard to my own and my family's connection to uniforms. If the people we repose so much faith and respect in arrogate "divine powers" to themselves then they become a curse to their very uniforms.

Actually I'd like to invoke Chetwoode's injunction to every cadet in this regard. (Though it emanated from a representative of an Imperial Force, it is still relevant) When he spoke about:
"The safety, honour and welfare of your country come first, always and every time. The honour, welfare and comfort of the men you command come next. Your own ease, comfort and safety come last, always and every time."

The most important part is:"The safety, honour and welfare of your country come first, always and every time".
Needless to say, every soldier in every country exists solely for that purpose. If that can be overlooked or forgotten, then better to disband that Army or treat it at the level of "Mercenary Brigands". While that is on the emotional plane, there is a simple matter on a lower plane: How on earth can the Chowkidar (protector) be allowed to become the Zamindar (owner) of the property, only because he has a big danda?

People who can aid/abet/accept that state only deserve to be kicked around like serfs. Its as simple as that.

While ordinary Joes (well, John, Jaani and Janardhan in India) can only struggle to cope with the challenges of life, it is the thinking and educated class of people that need to awake and arise to the clear and present dangers around. If they choose to remain in Rip Van Winkle state and hope to wake up in better times, they might in fact be leading into an "eternal nightmare".

The nut-jobs and loonies are present on both sides; its only when they gain proximity to power or the powers-that-be then there is extreme hazards. Otherwise they can certainly be controlled/suppresssed if not exterminated. Now we have to objectively and clinically identify where and to what extent that phenomenon exists and work to tackle it.

People (incidentally the same people who can be roused like rabble) also want to live in hope and some form of prosperity. That has been proved time and again. In India that is how (at least partly) the first Naxalbari Agitation, the Khalistani Movement and now the J & K Insurgency have died down or are winding down. There are International parallels as well, Northern Ireland comes to mind. So while this is not the only reason though, however it is probably the biggest reason.

Even though I'm an Indian (by my passport), I don't see any reason why the average Pakistani citizen should have to go through so much pain just to exist. My fellow Johns, Jaanis and Janardhans are constantly hoping and seeking better times for ourselves and our Junior Js! There is no reason why our counterparts across (any of) the borders cannot aspire to that also. And it has nothing to do with any "big-heartedness" on our (Indian's) part.

The reality is simple- if we will not work for ourselves to better ourselves, then NOBODY will; not even GOD!!!

What is past is prologue; judging by the past activity we can easily say the same about India what you are blaming on Pakistan and then some.

1. There is more hate against Pakistan among the Indians - they still do not recognise it as a separate Nation and dream of Akhand Bharat. Pakistanis are more like reactive to this blatant fascist ideology.

2. In the past, India has deliberately created a trade imbalance whenever there were trade efforts, creating red tape and logistical insufficiencies for Pakistani traders.

3. Army of Pakistan is the 'Vanguard of the Nation' and whatever business it does is not only legitimate but it is also profitable, creates jobs, brings technology and contributes to National exchequer. The need for it only arose due to incompetence of political elite.

4. There are many more and substantial example of India exporting terrorism to Pakistan. Whether it was the creation of Bangladesh, separatist movements in Pakistan and terrorism disguised religious/ethnic/sectarian militancy, India was and is the active contributor.

5. Your post is the perfect example of what I am saying, in a few lines you are blaming our Nation and Army of spreading hate and terrorism and then you want to trade with the haters and terrorists.

In the presence of all of the above, how can Pakistanis expect a balanced trade on equal terms?
1. Wrong indians overwhelmignly dont think of Akhand bharat and i mean like 99% or so. io agree there are some fringe elments just as there are ghazwa e hind nutjobs in your nation. An overwhelming majority , even muslims believe that its good that pak was formed.

2. India is notorious for red tapism. This is not Pak specific. We have caused equal disincentive and secularly for making business difficult and this is something that needs to change. Nothing to do with Pak.

3. Thats what the army would like everyone to believe. Just as the businesss of govenment is to govern the business of teh army is to protect and not do business. this creates a serious conflict of interest. But anyway the Army doing business is good for India as they will want to protect their investments in india and hence it is in their interest to ensure that India does well.

4. India in 71 was not terror. India had to step in on humanitarian basis. Secondly india fought PA and not send "nonstate actors" to kill civilians. There is no other know terror that india creates in Pak although there are genreral hollow allegations of indian involvement in BLA which is really a very insignificant movement. Please do not respond to this as it is out of scope for this discussion and responses will derail thread easily.

5. Yes I am saying that your army hates india and slowly more and more of your nation is also turning into india ahter and it directly correlates tot he fact that the country is being incresingly radicalised. We want to trade because I think this will create a base among the current hate-India group who will want to protect their investments in india and hence will prefer peace and trade to violence. And when this base reaches a critical mass Pak will stop terror export to india and peace will prevail.

Yes when you are trading with India you are working for your own betterment.

Most Pakistani awam already realize it..
It is Indian awam that must realize that they have been dealing with the misadventures of an establishment prodded by self-absorbed dictators...and not the common man.
i dont understand , india is dealing with the elected govt of pakistan right?

Pakistani girls are 100x better than Indians girls and way more classy.

I want nothing to do with Indians.
what makes you think indians want anything to do with your type. lol.. even if you want you wont get indian women.

.
isn't India more of a south Asia's fashion hub especially Ladies? for past decades before internet and Television era, Hindi Cinemas were and are the Fashion reference for whole of South Asia IINM.
----------------------------------
the only problem for Indians is, When Vajpayee went to Lahore preaching Peace, musharaf send his army to attack India.

I believe, this is a ingrained mentality of your establishment and to some extent, common people also. so, imo trade with China and India is possible. but not with India and Pakistan. It is because, India is seen as a eternal enemy and may be Jealousy or indoctrinated to hate which means, at the end, average Pakistani cannot be at peace with India or Indians.
