If we also become satellite state of Hindustan than surely we can double our economic growth and by removing armed forces we can spend more on development, but we are the people who will eat gross instead of becoming subservient to Hindustanis. Became a slave of India, and gain garment factories like BD. We had an ally (US) which was much more powerful but instead of being slaves, we chose the path of self-determination and freedom. We could have been another country like Japan, Germany, and South Korea if we wanted.

We could have easily become a sell-out nation like Hasina's BD, but it is not possible with the pride which Pakistanis have nor the rights which our ancestors have over us.

Gangadoo, this has been created by some a slum dog saffron chaddi.. it has nothing to do with Pakistan. It is illegal and most of the prostitutes in Pakistan are from Bd and Gd but now it is reducing.. Similarly a lot of women come from Russia, China and central asian states but now the govt has cracked down and it has also reduced. In future, it will be totally eliminated.

We were doing okay discussing this subject seriously in the thread for the first two pages.

Then the 'screaming derailer' group (PDF think-tankers) promptly arrived to derail the issue by pointless and off-topic posts which quickly devolved to trading ad-hominem attacks. I guess having one's own country painted as supposedly 'backward' invites a lot of hyper-sensitivity whose Fauji quid-pro-quo and status quo is under imminent threat. The level of chori has exceeded certain levels.

I think most Bangladeshis are the only type that will put their own country down (even their armed forces aren't sacrosanct) because we are acutely aware of ground realities and are actually DOING something on the ground to CHANGE it for the better. I am happy that this is as such - which demonstrates a more mature mindset compared to the simplistic nationalism that pervades the Northern part of the Subcontinent. Delusion is a comforting feeling in this subcontinent, why change the status quo and the quid-pro-quo when things are working just dandy for the top 10%....damn the needy and the poor and hide them in the slums....

By the way, we Bangladeshis are also a type that are willing to extend a helping hand to a country where the majority hates us....the onus is on the Pakistanis to respond, we are doing just fine I suppose and should care less....

LAHORE: In the provincial capital, prostitution has been taking place in more than 445 brothels. Particularly, 126 brothels in Model Town division, 96 in Saddar division, 75 in City division, 52 in Iqbal Town division, 51 in Civil Line division and 43 in Cantt division, are outside of the fold of police, according to a secret report.

Lahore CCPO has marked 445 hostels, 110 guest houses and other hotels which have the backing of certain influential people. It has been decided to squelch these centres and pursue serious action. The report contains very precise details about their location as well.

A DIG spokesperson has said that all SPs have been told in Lahore to carry out action on a daily basis against these brothels. He also said that if any official is involved in protecting any of these centres, then strict action will be taken against them.

Fauji corruption makes things so unbalanced that chori is now affecting new infrastructure being built in Pakistan which has slowed to a trickle. These people are literally running Pakistan into the ground with the alibi that 'boogeyman India is coming to get them' so 'Pakistan must get armed to the teeth'.

What would India want with a bunch of angry militant people? They have their own issues. Work things out.

If the Americans wanted - they could engineer a regime change in Pakistan in three short weeks. Boasting that Pakistan is an 'ally' of the US is comedy. The US does not need such allies. It needs compliant order-takers. Or else.

I am sorry guys. You may not like what I say. But please see things for what they actually are...watch your own interests as middle class Pakistanis (and on downward). Chori in the top echelon does not help you.
