The teachings of hindusm prohibit alcohol but still large amount of hindu community drink and supply alcohol.
Many hindu shopkeepers and traders hide alcohol in their shops. For this reason they're being considered suspicious by other muslim traders.

Alcohol is haram for a muslim , but still many muslims drink it . In my opinion , a muslim who drinks alcohol shouldn't be trusted. It's such a low morality , such people are also involved in other haram activities.

Most popular drinks in Pakistan? Do people prefer beer or hard liquors like Rum/Vodka/Whiskey? Age group and social status of drinkers?

beer and vodka is prefered but whiskey is also occasionally consumed by elite and higher middle class young guys 16-30.while old guys prefer whiskey and occasionally consume cold beer on hot days.wine and rum are relatively rare here.champagne is reserved for celebration only and isn't readily available.
lower class consume bhang and home brewed moonshine known as shopper here most alcohol related deaths are caused by it.
