I cannot believe how you tolerate fox news to spread hate among the general populace and still act like it's freedom of speech when it really isn't. Do i need to show clips of Bill Oreilly and Shawn Hannity stirring up hate?

I always find the obsession with Fox News fascinating and entertaining to observe. The problem with your argument is that if you can find and interpret things that Fox News say to be objectionable, so can I with MSNBC. Why is what Fox News says not freedom of speech? Only because you do not agree with it. Nothing more. YOU, my friend, would make an excellent censor. Congrats.

@JayAtl, answer this yank, Should Libel be allowed on television or speech that his highly homophobic or racial in nature that creates animosity among our general populace. Please keep the mumbo jumbo theories to yourselves, our system is working and there must be a reason why it has worked unlike the so called land of the free.

a whole lot of bluster and hussy fits...there is libel and then there is hate speech. learn to understand the difference first. Hate speech is protected , libel speech( print) can be sued in a civilian court.

Hate speech is not directed at an individual, if it is then it becomes libel speech( print) - where the offending person/ entity can sue. Yes , land of free and home of the brave...unlike you know whom. You can say anything you want against gays or blacks, it is protected as freedom of speech. the moment you direct it towards someone specific and claims of that speech are false- then it is libel. Now get back on your perch and rant some more - but at least know an iota of what you are talking about_ before going ape shz-it on me ...

As much I despise fox news numb nuts, that is not criminal or libel( if it is libel they get sued) ... I find your posting on this matter more dangerous to free speech than those guys.

Well Canada won't be your cup of tea with respect to what I posted above as our laws are very similar and infact exact to be precise. Hate speech is simply not tolerated as it can destroy the fabric of this very nation, imagine in the 70s if Trudeau let FLQ spread their separatist propaganda around.

the title is seriously misleading to me, I thought the original case happened in canada.

anyway, if the cleric has indeed framed this girl, then he must have said or done something blasphemous and planted or blamed it on the girl. shouldn't he be punished for blasphemy under the law?
