Legendary Pakistani Ghazal singer Ghulam Ali has cancelled all his future concerts in India, saying he will not perform in the country until issues between the two neighbouring nations settle down.

Speaking to an Indian news channel, Ustad Ghulam Ali said he was hurt by politics being played over his concerts and upset over how Indian political parties were trying to score brownie points by not letting him perform in the country.

The Ghazal maestro had concerts scheduled in New Delhi and Lucknow, all which have now been cancelled.

Last month, Ghulam Ali was forced to cancel his show in Mumbai, following threats of protest from the Hindu-nationalist group Shiv Sena.

The right-wing organisation demanded that Ghulam Ali be stopped from performing in India which, the outfit said, had no interest in promoting cultural ties with Pakistan.

Used to have concerts there before. I maintain that rise of Hindu extremism in India is due to Modi.

art is most certainly not knotted to boundaries but artists are, and art can be bought, downloaded or watched online so not an issue and what has modi got to do with Ghulam saab cancelling the tour? for god sake modi is a freakin PM man not a security guard
