I haven’t had Pakistani food ever in my life before coming to UK. Now after being in UK, I went to some Pakistani restaurants here. Although most food items in Pakistani restaurants have similar names to that of Indian ones, they tend to be oilier and more meat based.

Is what I am tasting in UK authentic Pakistani food or are Pakistani restaurants in UK just catering to a larger desi population?

I'm a carnivore lol,

love Tandoori Chicken, Butter Chicken, Chicken Curry, Mutton Kabab, Chicken Kabab, Beef Kabab, Pork Kabab, Chicken Samosas, Crab Curry... Damn you know what.. pretty much anything that moves.

I also heard Dahl has a higher source of protein than steak. :what:

Yes, Pakistani food tends to be oilier. I often have to scoop out tablespoonfuls of oil floating on top of my main dish.

On some dishes like daal tarka, the oil is specifically poured on top of the daal.

Atleast leave the food in these di*k measuring threads :taz:
There may be Indians who like Pakistani food and vice versa. Problem solved.

I absolutely love Pakistani Lahore chicken. :D

In terms of Indian food, I love Chicken tikka, and any kind of Biryani.

In terms of South Asian cusine in general.... "Curry" is excellent for anything, and mixes well with Chinese rice.
