Does not represent Islam.... I am not able to understand this mentality of attaching it to ISLAM.... Its if muslim of India choose to as be their flag it does not make is ISLAMIC flag...... Why don't we see this Islamic flag in Saudi mosques, Or even close PAKISTANI mosques.....

The only muslims that non-muslims in India know are Indian muslims, and they use it as their flag.
Most non muslims know nothing about sects. Even shia/sunni thing is unknown to many non-muslims.

Also, I can bet, most Indian muslims do not know the crescent moon and star is symbol of turkey.
