That's not even it. If a guy really likes a girl he won't subject to her in such degradation.

If a guy came and asked me out and I'm not talking 'Hey sweetheart wanna be the cherry to my cake' type. I'm talking literally, took out the time, effort, thought and put it in respectful terms - I'd respect that. Even IF I declined - I'd still respect him.

Honestly a genuinely nice girl won't water your efforts or make you feel small, even if she refuses. And if she freaks out - try and be understanding. Some probably don't know how to react to these things.

Having basic ethics is crucial. It's only decent.

If it works out - yay. If it doesn't - it's ok. Atleast one knows and won't regret they never tried.

I know.

Apparently it's impossible to get a woman convicted in Pakistan as well.

Messed up
It's a notion that female can't commit a crime.

Can't say anything against it, unless you are branded a misogynist.

tsk tsk! Generalization.
Its not .

I really lov men , they r some of beautiful nd strong creation of God , we women only point at when some among u misuse your power and abilities God gives nd become an opressor rather than a guardian.

On pdf, men open sveral threads about this woman wearing this nd that thread nd criticise them.. so y disturbance when i open on your manners .

Well as the saying goes the first step is to identify that there is a problem.

But what are the reasons for this? It's not entirely cultural, and its not education or lack there of. Fear maybe?

True Female Freedom can only be achieved when women have complete freedom regarding sexual choices and reproductive rights....Freedom of female sexuality is what men fear most, and it has to be crushed....You cannot build a modern society without free sexual rights for women

Some comments seem to be generalization though.

And, if the threads opened seem generalizing a group, you are open to criticize it.
seems like pak men really hate women to the core
Oh come on.

I am sorry to say that these things are not limited to Pakistani men but men in general. There are many reasons why men behave like a holes, these reasons might be related to upbringing, personality, psychological, peer influence or a plethora of others.

The main problem that women(not only journalists) face in Pakistan is mainly related to our culture and religion. Since most of the men don't get to experience interacting with women other than their siblings at a young age, and it is shoved in their brains that looking at, talking to, shaking hands or having a friendly relation with women is "forbidden" in "Islam", this part of their personality remains undeveloped. This suppression results in frustration which in turns develops into sexual desires.

In Pakistan, people in villages are more prone to violence as described in the first incident at the shrine due to the reasons described above, all of the remaining incidents can happen anywhere in the world.

There's no denying your post.

My problem is our culture somehow tolerates this sick behavior that it turns a blind eye or makes it a Taboo to talk about it.

This is what frustrates many. The solution to this problem is among the easiest but the first step is the hardest. To accept that there is a problem.

Segregation is culturally defined not religiously in Pakistan. To make this about religion will be a very unfair thing to do.
