over-reaction it is. in last days we have seen people burn their motorcycle and rikshaws because Traffic wardens give them a ticket. matlb 50000 ka rikshaw jala dena hy par 500 ka fine ni dena .. jahalat.

A Rickshaw driver hardly able to save 500 Rupee after daily earning, monthly, hardly he able to earn 15000 Pkr , isn't it a harsh for the people who are already dealing with bad economic conditions? I won't call it jahalat its another story of harshness of life for poor citizens.

KARACHI, Pakistan — Pakistani officials say a rickshaw driver who set himself on fire to protest police demands for bribes, has died of severe burns in Karachi.

Mohammad Khalid died on Monday morning, two days after setting himself on fire.

Khalid’s self-immolation — according to a letter featured on Pakistan’s Geo Television station — was an act of protest against police demands for bribes. Khalid reportedly refused to pay a bribe to an officer who then fined Khalid a ticket amounting to a quarter of his daily earnings.

Amir Ahmed Shaikh, the police chief in Karachi, said an investigation is underway.

Following the incident, Shaikh ordered the police not to impose heavy fines on rickshaw drivers for traffic violations in the city.

A rickshaw is a motorized three-wheeled vehicle usually carrying one passenger.

So what is your solution ? Give the poor bike riders and riskshaw drivers clean chit ? Let them fcuk the whole traffic system ?? Bhai jaan dubai me aap kay un mazdoro se jo 900-1200 riyal ki job kay lye gaye hoty hy unse b 300-400 riyal kay fine liye jaaty hy. Udhr to araam se 7 imaraat me jaa kay b jurmana jama kara aaty hy. Idhr in ghareebo ko mot parti hy ? Upar se inko rules and regulation ka batao us pe rok tok karo to kehty hm to ghareeb hy. G.T road pe rehri laga dety hy ye aap kay ghareeb, TMA waly aa ky rehri ulti kar dety hy to rona roty hy kay hm to ghareeb hy sb ka bs chalta hm pe , ameero ko q ni pakarty. 1. Bodycams for police and dash cam for police vehicles.
2. All fines to be paid at a station or digitally/no cash in police hands.
3. Have "mystery shoppers" who are paid to approach police/drive around hoping to get stopped by police. They secretly record goings on, anyone caught doing wrong, should be fired without pension. You'll see the fear strike the police.

For traffic rules you don't need bodycam but safe city project cameras and E-challan. Punjab police should help out Sindh here. Not sure about exact cost but I doubt its much. Main cost is that of safe city project. After that e-challan isn't that costly. In either case fines will recover the cost. Sindh government shouldn't waste time.

Wrong..... there breaking rules can put you in jail. In Pakistan outdated system mean you just have to bribe police to get away.

Its state job to maintain law and order. Citizens are all rule breakers by nature.

He was just fined 150 Rs because he was poor, it was over reaction, looks like that molvi was deprived from life.

My point is Insaf karayn subse , aur ghareeb se silah rehmi karayn. People need government support to help them to pull them out from such a difficult conditions. Rule of law ki implementation k liye sakhtiyan jaiz hyn agar apka system subko ek achi zindigi guzarne k liye basic necessities provide karay. Pani tak tu dey nahi sakhty aur baatain krtyn hyn qanoon ki.
