New trailers for movies over the last year have been poor. Most are Indian knock offs and comedy nonsense.

Where is the cinematic experience?

Is Pakistani public not mature enough to handle complex cinema?

Govt made the mistake by relocating Pakistani movie industry from Karachi to Lahore even the biggest blunder was moving capital from status from Karachi.

It's a natural thing for Pakistani movies to be influenced by Bollywood. But if the ban on Indian content continues, Pakistani film industry will finally find its niche. Give it some time.

Bollywood is completely devastated from inside, even B –Grade movies plan is not working for Bollywood, our cinema twisted a new look and most of the movies can be compared to block buster Hollywood, can’t give the examples. Google is there to search.

The problems with Cinema from the 1980's were in order
1) The Zia era censor board, which loved banning films on whims which led to
2) The arrival of VCR's, and Court decisions which meant that Governments could not censor or Ban movies on VHS.
3) The rise of PTV, which took away most of the good talent, since they could be payed through ad revenue.
4) The fact that foreign movies were released months or even years after, having long since come on VHS.

None of those apply. today. There is big money in movies these days.

Dude read up on cinematic history of the subcontinent. Before partition Bombay & Lahore were the preeminent movie production cities of India. Post partition all the Muslim actors & technical staff who migrated to Pakistan gravitated to Lahore as ot had the required infrastructure & resource pool. Karachi was always a small fry in the movie industry till recent years when production has moved mostly down south. Almost all the new (approx 75%)Pak films in recent years have had their post production work done either abroad or Karachi.
Abhi is field Mein aap ko Jumma Jumma 8 din huay haen as a city.

No, what will happen with the ban is that Pakistani production houses will openly try to make copies of Bollywood movies to sell in Pakistan to capitalize on audience demand that will not be fulfilled in theaters.

If Bollywood continues openly in Pakistan, then Pakistani production houses will try to take up an "alternate cinema" space i.e. Not Bollywood.

Pak film industry is in its infancy and we have been brought up with the influence of indian film industry so the criteria for success and failure of a film that has been lurking in our mind tilt towards the standard of bollywood so whenever Pak movie going to be released then it would be made and released considering these demographics but it does not mean Pak cant have its own labeled Industry. it would take time but for the time being imitation can be a good strategy after all movie industry is also purseued because of commercial purposes.
the most dangerous thing for me is the cultural erosion which would be very difficult for us to get rid from. no doubt bollywood has ingrained in our culture but the copy-paste of indian culture through our film industry would be most disastrous for Pak culture then otherwise because its our people who are painting us in different way.

Upcomimg Saya e khudae zuljalal isn't an "Indian knock off". Also comedy sells which is why there are so many comedy movies. Personally Actor in Law looks great. Haven't seen it yet but the from the trailer it looks hilarious. Also this year has seen the arrival of movies like Manto and Mah e Mir. Hardly you're typical romantic or comedy movies.

I watched JPNA on YT, it was good. But actor in law look like stright rip off bollywood c grade budget movie. Can't identify with that.

I think they are doing reasonably well.

The industry is on revival, light comedy etc is fine as long as they are generating revenue and hence supporting the whole industry from actors, directors to camera crew and digital auditing etc.

Of course some class movies will be made once more and more people join this industry.

Just give it some time to go through the necessary evolution process.
