What's new

Pakistani born astrophysicist one of key people who detected gravitational waves

It took 69 freaking years for Pakistan to recognise hindu marriages and don't recognise interracial marriages without converting to Muslims , it's easy to point fingers at others when you don't look at yourself , stop bringing India into unrelated threads .

That hurt you, didn't it? Indians commenting on Pakistan should also expect a taste of their own medicine. Deal with it.

@28

She is a lesbian, kid you not, do your research buddy.
Huh? Really? :o:

Provide a link. Don't make big time accusations like that without supporting back up. Not that there is anything wrong with being a lesbian but you can't drop a one liner and then go off without providing a link to confirm what you say is true.

She is, Google it

Pretty sure she isn't proud of being Pakistani, and could never return here.

Hardly a Pakistani achievement. Same goes for most of the Indians working on this as well, none of this research is ever benefiting either of the two countries

Wow ! Shiver my timbers!

This I would never have guessed....she looks so pretty ....not that lesbians cant be pretty....but you know like a feminine type pretty....

Anyways, this does not take anything away from her achievement which is to be applauded. She has certainly achieved more than most people posting on this thread!

Her achievement is great, but it's not a Pakistani achievement. Nor is it an Indian one, it's an American one, since they're the only ones who're going to use this research

You're a ray of sunshine aren't you? :p:

Any advancement in science this huge is an achievement for all humanity not just for something so small as a nation state.

When agriculture was first discovered in Iraq it eventually fed all human kind. When james watt invented the steam engine the whole world eventually benefited. All scientific discoveries are like that, eventually everyone benefits. In this case Americans might be first to get the spin offs but within 10 years it will be incorporated into basic research all around the world.

Don't forget just two generations ago the only people who really knew how to do modern science was the Germans, ww2 brought these scientist to America

Discoveries in basic science eventually help everyone from Manhatten to the remotest corner of Africa.

Not denying that at all, but from the way Indians and Pakistanis have been going hyper over claiming it, you'd think it's helping them directly

There were more than 60 Indian scientists that played a role. :-)

Nowadays these large scientific endeavors tend to be majority collaborative like CERN.

Anyways congrats on Dr. Malawala - be rightly proud of her, as a woman, a Pakistani and a scientist. :-)
