As for joint ventures and technology transfer. China is a better alternative. China auto industry is much bigger than India. Or if Pakistan really wants to learn, why not technology transfer agreements with more advanced countries in automotive sector like Germany or Korea?
No one will transfer technology-and create future competitors. One have to develop technology for their own.
Not decade but at least 5 centuries. Happy!!?
You Indians live in a bubble which I don't know exists in which universe.
First, show me motorcycle engine that was developed in Pakistan.
Indian Auto Industry is way ahead-Motorcycles,cars,SUVs,tractors,earthmoving equipment & CVs are all being Indigenously developed. And even engines and transmissions of many of these are developed here.
Indian companies also rank among worlds largest automobile manufacturers.manufacturers. Tata is the world's sixteenth-largest motor vehicle manufacturing company, fourth-largest truck manufacturer and second-largest bus manufacturer by volume.Mahindra is world's lagest tractor manufacturer by volume.
Before talking BS you can refer to this thread-Made in India Vehicles | Page 152
So he is right,it will take decades. No Pakistani company has ever developed a car engine, that was what India did in 70s/80s.
