pakistani agriculture using centre pivot irrigation system??

hello guys, i have a question, pakistan doesnt have enough water, water scarcity is a major problem, should we try u=irrigating our crops using centre pivot irrigation system, i have its been effective in saving water, and has been employed by many water scarse nations like saudi arabia, libya etc

it only requires some costly machinery but i think its very effective, what do you think?

What costly machinery?

Some 10 hp electric motors, tyres and welded tubing. Problem is electricity.

A good research project may be solar powered pivot irrigation system, it's do-able ... solar pumps are already in the market.

Technology is unknown to Pakistani farmers, all thanks to govt which hasn't taken any initiative in water conservation.

We do not need center pivot system. It might be suitable for arid and desert landscape, but not for irrigated plains of Punjab and Sindh.
