Pak won’t tolerate US ‘great game’ in region - GEO.tv

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Wednesday made it clear to the US that it will not tolerate the latter’s ‘great game’ in the region, Geo News reported.

According to the sources at Pakistan’s Foreign Office, Pakistan has made it clear to the visiting US vice president Joe Biden that Pakistan will not tolerate US ‘great game’ in the region.

Joe Biden had admitted foreign intrusion in areas located along Pak-Afghan border, sources added. Biden, however, agreed that Afghan problem could not be resolved only through use of force.

“No US boot will tread on Pakistani soil and there will be no violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” the US vice president was quoted as saying by FO sources.

The sources also said that the US had been offered to become part Afghanistan’s reconstruction process.

Hmm, interesting development.

Now if this is true, in the same words as it is being reported, it sounds huge Alarms
through out the world.

I seriously doubt that the PPP Government is capable of this,
However the army since some years has been getting tired of USA.

Since when you started thinking strategic decissions were taken by PPP? They have given the PA free-hand on Afghan Policy and even other international affairs. PPP leaders are d@m too happy with their chance of stuffing their off-shore bank-accounts and this is they could want at most. For Pakistan, PA is on the driving seat.

And the stage will be perfectly set for the Talibs to unleash another round of terror. Once US and NATO leaves Afghanistan, Talibs may overthrow the Govt and Pak would be bearing most of the brunt as they are waiting for a revenge for the Pak army's offensive.

Remember...The combined strength of US,Nato and Pak army are unable to control them!

End of the day if PPP wants to prove itself even half-decent democracy then it has to react to people wishes which is end of american presence once for all. At last some sense and this temperature change is getting evident since last few months so thts why they are trying to pressurize us by blocking funds for projects like bhasha ang giving statments that thr crony india has every right to be friends with afghanista aka use their land for terror in pakistan.......they should be replied in the same manner aur jo bhi kati katta nikalna ha in dhoka bazon ne eik hi baar nikaal lein rooz rooz ke drame karne se aur hamari jaan chorien.

I am just curious to know, whether it will help Pakistan if US leaves Afghanistan. Isn't it easy to deal with terrorists, if they are hit from both sides? If US leaves, Afghanistan will never be able to take on terrorists, then it will be left to Pakistan to take them all alone. Is that what is preferred in Pakistan?

well for this you need to see what was the state of Afghanistan when USA entered it in 2001.
Talibans were in all control and after 9/11 they were saying they wont handover Osama to USA although in any thirth country they can go for free trail about 9/11 ....which USA didnt accepted

talibans were not bad guys as they were working for thier nation and building it.... you might have seen pictures of talibans in NY negotiating with USA about oil Pipelines and finally they have given that pipe line building orders to some other company in south american and that day USA after loosing that oil pipeline project thread talibans for war... and thats how this whole game started....

so i think if USA leave this region ASAP it will be good for Pakistan, Afghanistan, India, Iran, China, etc etc long list....

still if you see thier speaches they say bad guys killed 3k americans but never say a word how many muslims they have killeds after 9/11

The Northern Alliance were good guys, not the Taliban. And if the Taliban cared so much about protecting the lives of muslims, then they could have just handed over Al Qaedas members and ended it right at that spot.
