China and Pakistan are planning to display a two-seater version of the Xiaolong fighter at Paris Air Show 2015 to be held from June 15-21.

Both the nations have plans to introduce the two seater version of FC-1 Xiaolong multirole fighter, also known as the JF-17 Thunder to the overseas market, according to Military Parade. This fighter also known as the FC-1B or JF-17B, is likely to be equipped with the French-built M88-2 engine.

With M88-2 engine on board, Xiaolong fighter's range can be extended from 800 kilometers to 1,000 kilometers, Want China Times reported on Tuesday. M88-2 engine currently powers Rafale twin-engine fighter.

A refueling probe will be installed on the FC-1B or JF-17B as well for aerial refueling, according to Want China Times report. This export-oriented fighter plane is small, low in cost and suitable for modern warfare as well as to the demands of military fighters.

To introduce the FC-1 Xiaolong multirole fighter, also known as the JF-17 Thunder, to the overseas market, China and Pakistan are going to display a two-seater version of the aircraft during the Paris Air Show held from June 15-21 this year, reports the Moscow-based Military Parade.

Known as the FC-1B or JF-17B, this two-seater fighter is likely to be equipped with the French-built M88-2 engine. It is currently equipped with the Rafale twin-engine fighter designed by Dassault for the French Air Force.

With this new engine, the range of the Xiaolong can be extended from 800 kilometers to 1,000 kilometers, according to the report. A refueling probe will be installed on the FC-1B or JF-17B as well for aerial refueling according to an unofficial source.

Other defense analysts have queried whether the M88-2 can be fitted to a two-seater Xiaolong.

Both know China and Pakistan have a few projects on the cards where they can easily make a few billion a year. Plus they would gain indirect customers who may be China or Pakistan focused. Result is both, the Russians and the French selling their military equipment to Pakistan (and indirectly to China and others).

Both Russia and France want a piece of the trade route and iron, gold, shale oil and gas extraction in the near future in Pakistan. Which by itself is another few billions a year easy for many years to come. So this entire situation has taken Pakistan in a different direction that a year ago. 3-5 years from now, outside of the US and Germany due to their strict control and policies, no one else will be saying no to selling weapons to Pakistan. If enough cash is provided, even the US will sell advanced weapons to Pakistan. Cash talks, bullsheet walks!!

That will be great thing to do but where the bloody hell is BLOCK II first can we have few squadrons of BLOCK II first than go for two seater version

India will try its level best to stop engine sales to us we should not try to get them from France as long as India is in talks for Rafale
