I just found out that my friend from college got booted out of job at a Lahore uni, cos she had correctly marked out a few students for plagiarizing their assignments. And they reported her.

Our entire culture would need a bit of a kick in the nuts, if we are to take education and specifically high-end, science, maths and engineering seriously. There aren’t any shortcuts to this.

True, but is stopping from Pakistan "now" building these "Pakistan Institutes of Technology". Why can't it see the value that IIT brought to India and replicate it?

In the last 4 years, India alone has built 4 IITs.

Pakistan has NUST. Why not build that as a Pakistan wide brand and focus on STEM ?

Pakistans refusal to invest in education is at the root of the majority of Pakistans current problems...

Fix that, you will fix Pakistan.

That is the problem, the lack of imagination and creativity.. especially when it comes to educating the Pakistani nation...

Good post, but Pakistan is busy wasting literally billions of usd a year on defunct state owned enterprises like PSM and PIA.

Indian IT export figures are massively inflated. If they were true then US software and services imports should reflect that right ? but US announces only a fraction of what india claims. Thats because of the way india counts as exports. All software invoices made by indian companies are counted as exports despite the fact there could be onsite billing. INdeed most money is simply spent onsite on salaries. Real indian software exports are in range of $30 billion usd.

Have a look. You need a massive skilled workforce to compete.

Infosys many people talks cheap of them, they call it sweatshop they call it cheap labor haha...
But not many who are not involved in core of it knows how deeply Big American businesses are dependent on it not from few years but decade or more that includes

Apple
Microsoft
Google

also include all 10 largest financial corps in USA haha

speaking from a known source who deals with them the mofos in Infosys develop AI solutions to test AI solution haha and sell them like hot cakes beat that

Really ? vetted how ? Here is US reporting its service trade with india. Shouldnt they match ?

USA reports ENTIRE service imports from india at $29.4 USD Billion. But india claims software exports alone at 60 billion USD
