Indians got the beating of a lifetime - now pinning their hopes on Afghanistan? I do t really care - all I know is indian had the worst defeat of their existence - and Pakistan slaughtered them.

I don't want to get into the politics of this, but Afghanistan absolutely hammered Scotland yesterday. Afghanistan vs any country should be a good match now !

The 5 longest sixes in the tournament right now are all from Afghans. Their spinners looked quite dangerous too. Or maybe Scotland are poor against spin.

But Afghanistan are also a very inconsistent team. So let's see.

I hope AFG keep their form. It will make the group very interesting. Otherwise most were predicting IND and PAK to go through. I still feel PAK will go through, and IND/NZ will have tough competition from AFG for 2nd spot.

I think Afghan will smash the Indians in this tournament I just hope and pray the Hindus don’t start attacking the poor helpless afghans in India like they attacked they’re own Muslim citizens and Kashmiri migrants after getting the mother of all beatings by Pakistan .

National Cricket Academy Lahore hosted Afghan players
Starting in the year 2013, Pakistan opened the gates of the country’s premier Cricket training institution, the National Cricket Academy in Lahore for the Afghan cricketers. The academy is only open for Pakistani players under a contract with the PCB but Pakistan made an exception and allowed Afghan players to use the facility on a number of occasions.

Coaching for Afghan Under-19 team in Lahore
Since the year 2014, Pakistan has been hostingyoung Afghan cricketing talent in Lahore to be coached by country’s elite coaching staff in Lahore. The Afghan U-19 team stayed in Lahore for an extended period in preparation for the WC that year. The team was also offered eight practice matches, including three against Pakistan’s U-19 to prepare them for the WC event.

Afghans allowed playing in Pakistan’s domestic circuit
Pakistan has played a pivotal role in Afghanistan’s fairytale rise in international cricket, having helped them with coaches, training facilities and most importantly, allowing them to play in Pakistan’s domestic cricket circuit. This is unusual as the domestic circuit is open for local Pakistani players who have gone through the various academies and other routes, but Pakistan made a special opening for Afghan Cricketers into a structured domestic circuit to give them valuable experience.

Setting up the Afghanistan Cricket Board
Under an MoU signed between PCB and ACB, Pakistan provided support for setup and improvement of Afghanistan Cricket board, which included:

• education programmes, coaching courses, skill and performance analysis and basic umpiring courses
• preliminary curator courses for the Afghans to organise and implement players’ development programmes
• high-performance camps of four weeks
• annual camps with five matches between emerging Afghan and NCA teams

Noor Mohammad, the then CEO of the ACB said:

“The MOU that we have just signed will put Afghanistan cricket development on a fast track. Our cricketers, coaches and umpires will be able to make use of PCB’s excellent facilities…”

Agree mate. To be fair i was only bothered about beating India. The amount of hype and crap on the Indian channels making out they are "superpower incredible india" - thrashing them just shows they are nothing special. Afghani on the other hand beat a totally inadequate Scotland and now they also have delusions of grandeur - just a game Afghani calm down.

This is one match I am pretty sure all the afghans including overseas afghans are eagerly looking forward to after the take over of their country by talibans.
They say England vs Aus is the next big thing after ind vs pak in cricket...I disagree...from now on it will always be afg vs pak (no matter how weak afghanistan is compared to pak).

From the Pakistani perspective, it will be a brotherly match, the afghan team is very good so far and it would be tough match for sure. But rest assured, Pakistanis would celebrate the afghan victory just as much as we would celebrate our own victory.

PAKISTAN & AFGHANISTAN PLAY NEXT!!! This coming Friday, the 29th. That'll be the game to watch and the Afghanistan vs india on november 3rd. I hope the afghan team will take revenge from india for using afghanistan and then ditching it just because a popular government took over.

You seem to be in much confusion. From cricket, you deviate towards the relation between Afghanistan and Pakistan. Afghanistan is now in safer hands; so don't worry.
Pakistan win or Afghanistan it does not matter both are Muslim countries. The actual battle is over we ruined the infidels with the grace of ALLAH SWT. Further, Pakistan also taught the lesson to the cheaters and deceivers, who lied about safety concerns.
