Pakistan values Saudis but it supports peace too

There goes the ring that starts a massive sectarian civil war in Pakistan.

This "unconditional" support does not include military support and neither Pakistan has announced that it will be a part of the 34 member coalition.

This is the same statement which was given at the start of the Yemen crisis.

Pakistan should have a very strong check upon people going iran with different aims particular military and sectarian training. Its imminent to stop any potential for sectarianism. By the way must reciprocate what other sectarians are being treated in iran. Similarly ksa money feeding should be stopped completely.
No sectarianism should be allowed at all in Pakistan including outside public procession form all parties. What they give to Pakistan, except deaths destruction and disturbance.

Why should Pakistan's relations with KSA affect Shia-Sunni balance

Why do we associate either country with our beliefs?

KARACHI: An antiterrorism court sentenced on Wednesday a man to 14 years in prison in a case pertaining to a grenade attack on the consulate of Saudi Arabia.

Zaki Kazmi was found guilty of carrying out the attack with his now dead accomplice at the consulate in the Defence Housing Authority in May 2011
.

ATC-VI judge Abdul Naeem Memon, who conducted the trial inside the central prison, read out the conviction order after recording evidence of witnesses and concluding arguments from both sides. The court also ordered confiscation of the convict’s property.

According to the prosecution, two grenades were hurled at the Saudi consulate on May 11, 2011, which damaged some windowpanes of a mosque inside the consulate, but did not cause any causality.

The police arrested the accused in November 2011 in the Eidgah police station jurisdiction and claimed that he was affiliated with the ‘Mehdi Force’.

The prosecution further said that acting on information of the detained accused, the police had raided a residential complex, Rabia City, in Gulistan-i-Jauhar to arrest the alleged mastermind of the grenade attack, Syed Tabish Hussain, alias Asif Manu, but he put up resistance and was killed in a shootout.

A case was registered under Section ¾ of the Explosive Substances Act, 1908 read with Section 7 of the Anti-terrorism Act, 1997 at the Gizri police station.

While I do not have a problem to Support Saudia , however I also want to highlight the people of Iran also deserve a break after long sanctions

I want to see balance in treating all government equally and preserving peace in region and discouraging conflict

1. We have a large population with Shia background we must also respect their sentiments
2. Any destabilization of iran will bring Millions of refugees into Pakistan

Iran has not done anything illegal in recently 20-25 years their country is peaceful and developing let us not go path of destruction and instead sit down on table and talk the differences out

Forming groups against regional partners is wrong

Countries can gain economically by cooperation and increasing Oil rates via controlled means

There is no need to create fake proxy groups and wars

dear pakistan when you will grow up and learn national interests ?

The awkward moment

WHEN SENIOR MEMBERS ACT LIKE BABY BOY.......

It's just a political statement, Pakistan is not going to jump in Syrian war.

It will be fine to send few boots to KSA as deterrence...... but we must not take part in any conflict......

Unless Iran breaches the Saudi Border, Pakistan will be under no compulsion to intervene between the two. As for training expertise, we owe them that much.

If there is a war, rest assured it will be started by GCC, not Iran, and after that Pakistan should only sit and watch. We haven't started any war in past 300 years.

We don't care much whom Pakistan gives its unconditional support as it's related to Pakistan's interests not us and it won't bother us as long as there isn't a direct threat to Iran's national interests which I highly doubt Pakistan will ever go that far. Relations between 2 countries have usually been cordial in past 70 years with some ups and downs, and that'll remain the case for future years.

One thing for sure, it's Iran and Pakistan that are going to remain 2 important neighbors for next decades and not Pakistan and KSA, so I hope Pakistani leaders don't take decisions that harm their national interests in long term (as they did in 80s and 90s).

I was speaking rhetorically, I did mean that military support is off the cards and only something as significant as an open invasion would change that fact, perhaps I was misunderstood.

There is no breaching borders of saudi arabia that we all know. Public display of such unrequited "love" almost always ends up with a heartbreak is all. Plays across the board from individual to national levels.

according to todays wall street general

Officials in Islamabad said they wouldn’t take sides in the dispute between the Saudis and Iran, and would encourage both sides to repair relations.

it mean Pakistani policy will remain the same as it is.

Sorry bro, think I misunderstood that.

Btw, will Pakistan also help Iran if GCC launches attack out of nowhere? I doubt so. :D

Pakistan is neutral in this conflict and I think it best suits our interests to remain so, at the same time, Iran represents one of our few stable neighbours and instability in Iran would hurt our interests in Balochistan so if the unlikely scenario that such a condition does occur, Pakistan will move quick to curb the conflict.
That being said, the GCC does not have the appetite for a war with Iran, even though the Iranian Military spends a fraction of the GCC's budget on its military and has an outdated inventory when compared to the GCC nations, it takes the cake when it comes to being able to field a larger military, has better missile technology and can thus strike GCC countries from its bases at home and also has greater experience in a conflict of attrition owing to its history in the Iran-Iraq War.

BTW more important question one should try to answer

WOULD IRAN WELCOME ANY PAKISTANI ROLE IN IRAN'S QUEST FOR ITS SOVEREIGNTY & TERRITORIAL INTEGRITY ??

I think following statements must answer 'all other genuine questions' regarding the matter

However, Pakistan has made it clear it would not send its combat troops to the Kingdom. Pakistan is ready to upgrade the strength of the armed forces stationed in the Kingdom to safeguard the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Saudi Arabia,”

“However, we don’t want to enter into any controversy by taking sides with either of the two feuding countries – Saudi Arabia and Iran,”

During the meeting, Premier Sharif stressed the need for easing tension between Tehran and Riyadh through peaceful diplomatic channels. He said the Muslim Ummah needed to a pivotal role in order to bring the two countries closer.

Pakistan has voiced deep concerns over the Saudi-Iran row and warned that dark forces of extremism and terrorism could take advantage of this division between the Muslim countries.
