I think you are Confusing with incidents after 2008 with Musharraf's era because non of those ever happened in Musharraf's era rather it happened after Musharraf's era when ANP started Confrontation with MQM on PPP's Zulfiqar Mirza's Support. It happened after Musharraf era and their was serious Confrontation with ANP back then which ANP started Turning Ethnic not MQM.

There was no Aman Committee in Musharraf's era the Whole thing was Formed after the ENCOUNTER of Rehman Dacait when Uzair Baluch Took over. Kuchis were never MQM Supporters to begin with. They are Sindhi Speaking business Community based in Lyari and Keemari who have always been PPP supporters till Aman Committee started Extorting from them after that they turned to MQM. I think you are yourself CONFUSED between Kuchi Memons and Kuchis as Kuchi Memons are Gujrati Speaking Memons while Kuchis are Sindhi Speaking people Originally belong to Run of Kuch(Disputed Territory between Pakistan and India).

Arshad Papo once supported MQM candidate in Lyari but it was based on his Rivalry with Rehman Dacait who was supporting PPP in Musharraf's era. As for MQM Supporting Arshad Papo afterwards it happened after Uzair Baluch Failed to Unite all gangsters in Lyari which force Arshad Papo to look elsewhere and MQM also had a Beef with Aman Committee they were Threatening businesses in Old City Area of Saddar which had MQM Influence and support so they came together for Mutual Interest against Aman Committee not for Extortion and same happened to KRC(Kuchi Rabita Committee) later.
