Pakistan turns to Russia and China after US military aid freeze

Pakistan air force should buy J10B fighter jets and phase out the F16.
It is pointless having these aircraft when they are struggling to get the
spares and during a war they will most likely be grounded.

.
because
1) India is turning to USA - pakistan can use that as leverage to get to Russia
2) some advanced equipment from China has parts from Russia (Engines) and hence the need to have Russia in the loop to replace high end US equipment.
frankly IMO opinion Russia wont provide their high end equipment to Pakistan if India objects. It has to be only Chinese hardware.

.
because you and I dont pay taxes and spend most of our time
Even if you pay taxes, most of your paid money would land in some anonymous accounts in safe havens of foreign banks or would be invested in some shadow offshore company.

India already objects to all Russian interaction with Pakistan. Russia gives zero fvck.

Pakistan will go for Chinese hardware, but if Russia makes the offer Pakistan won't decline. I wouldn't be surprised if Russia makes the offer in the future.

Read the article again it states that Pakistan hasn't been receiving spares from AMERICA.
Because Turkey is giving them to Pakistan under American license lol. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

This is how Fake News fcuks with you.

Americans cannot do a shit about Pakistan.

The Day Americans will stop giving Spare parts to Pakistan is the day you will see JF-16. lol

There is no doubt that PAF is doing some miracle to keep the F-16s up and running. I wouldn't be surprised if we are producing some spares at home. Now that would be really awesome if true.

Long overdue.

The policy of patience and hoping US finds some sense was never going to work. Pakistan needed to make a move and she finally did.

We cannot reverse engineer US technology until they break the agreement and deny us parts. We have made few modifications to some extent but we can make F-16 because of Turkish help. In the Turkish coup Turkey had to fire all pilots relate with the coup and USA refused to train new pilots for Turkey at that point Pakistan stepped in and trained Turkish pilots in face of US pressure.

I don't think people here are asking the right questions.

1) For the sake of argument, let's assume the lack of spares from the U.S is true. Is this only restricted to f-16s alone? Pakistan uses several US hardware. What about those?

2) Let's assume suspension of spare parts is false and all US weaponry is battle ready. Can Pakistan use it on any adversary?

3) Given the current scenario, will the US allow upgrades to the equipment to keep them current?

Even if any of 1, 2 or 3 is true, Pakistan has just thrown a serious advantage not counting the cash it has spent, down the drain. Pakistan needs to mend it's ties with the US and while doing so think of diversifying it;s critical equipment.

Lastly, Pakistan, China and Russia may or may not form a partnership but when it comes to weapon sales, China and Russia is more a competition than partnership. Any country would love this situation and would happily over price it's equipment.

Mend your situation with the US while you think of plan B. That is the only prudent way of moving forward.

If USA restrict the parts from Pakistan that would be the best news for Pakistan because Pakistan is making 80% and it's military hardware and this would allow Pakistan to develop more because Pakistan is not Indian and Pakistan has established military industry.

Yes we killed many Indians on LOC using that weapons.

Don't need upgrade the equipment because USA is doing it for us and only thing beside F-16 is AH 64 cobra that is ageing to it's retirement and will be replaced by Turkish gunships and Russian Helo which Pakistan is already receiving.

It has to be since this is coming from the defence minister. What a darn mess.

We have some useless leaders on our side. Talk about exploitation of the highest order.

The Yanks are walking over us. This is a disgrace. From drone strikes and killing of innocent people to pressuring to do more. What will it take for us to say enough?

India turning to the US doesn't mean India is turning away from Russia. India is a major pole by itself, alongside the US, China, EU and Russia. Both the US and Russia can engage India. India is not choosing sides.

As for your second point, a lot of Russian equipment on imports are being replaced by Chinese stuff, like the potential WS-13 engine for the JF-17.
