Pakistan turning screws on Afghanistan

Excellent -- I hope we can have more dialogs like this -- point <----> counter point === remember we're not trying to win an argument here -- trying to expand our knowledge base.

I'll try to respond when I have some time.

Yeah we should :)

I hate to break your dream world but currently your fellow citizens are leaving Afghanistan in waves. Your incompetent hashish government is too focus on corruption and its own interests rather than serving the people. Another 2 million refugees returning back would cripple your economy and their will be a shortage of resources. The world cannot subsidize your economy forever and the process of deporting your comrades has started.

How will Pakistan lose its export market. If Iran wants to tap into the Chinese Energy market then it needs Pakistan not the Afghans. When those same trucks going to Iran are torched by the Taliban then that 27% figure will be dwindled and then you will be on your knees begging us to show mercy. Put your money where you mouth is and stop trading with Pakistan. I want your country to attack Pakistan and then we can show you true destruction. Time is clicking anyway the Taliban are becoming more stronger.

If Pakistan unleashed its full might and used his proxies properly then Kabul will fall in a day. Thank your lucky stars that you have some international troops in your country, because your hashish army is dying in the hundreds each month and thousands are deserting.

Sorry my friend but this post sounded more like an emotional rant than objective arguments backed by facts and figure :)

I am disappointed my friend ;) since your arguments are grounded more in hopes, illusions and God "gifted" superiority.

Your country has lost almost every card it had against Afghanistan, keep up the dreaming retired fellow. Such views from Pakistan has only harmed it's own selfhood.

For some of you only this forum is left to statisfy yourselves on issues related to Afghanistan.

.
Afghans will get more support from us in coming days to obliterate the Islamic rats and build a better, secular country.

Really, what exactly did you learn from this conversation? this is what I get @ A-Team is hitting really fancy "Naswar" and is delusional to the max ( US considers AF security as its security " Amb Olson) buddy, Bagram Air Base and Part of the Kabul isn't whole of Afghanistan nor will the Americans or Chinese engage Pakistani or any other military for the sake of Afghans.

what have we lost and what have you gained. Please feel free to tell us all.

Some objectivity would be beneficial. The only person who has an incredibly bad hand is Ghani sab, though not through his fault.

Sorry my friend but this post sounded more like an emotional rant than objective arguments backed by facts and figure :)

You are misguided in your interpretation of my post young padawan:)

1) Thousands of Afghans have left the country and you don't need to be Einstein to work that out.
2) There is high unemployment in Afghanistan and your fellow countrymen are disillusioned.
3) The United States has recently admitted that the Taliban are gaining more influence in Afghanistan. There will come a time in the near distance future when you will be ruled by them. I hate the Taliban but at least they will burn your country and make you weak for entertaining the idea of questioning the existence of Pakistan.
5) Millions of refugees are living in Pakistan so please take them back if you have any shred of honor. Otherwise one day we will forcefully drive them out and the outcome won't be nice. Its another known fact that if these people were to return then your economy would cripple.
6) Corruption is rampant in your country so you are not fooling anyone.
7) If Iran wants to obtain the lucrative energy market of China then it has to go through Pakistan. This has already been concluded where 17% of Chinese oil will go through Baluchistan into Xinjiang. Pipeline will be completed in 2022. What economic prosperity do Afghans have? Oh yeah Indians coming into your country and raping your poor defenseless women. Have some shame..but I guess the begging bowl is your Achilles heel.
8) You can say what ever you want Brother A-Team. But the reality is that my country is not burning and we control our territory.

This is a Pakistan Defence Forum so why don't you satisfy yourself with a pantomime dame act in the streets of Kabul. Better yet, please take the 2 million rabble from our streets. Keep dreaming that you will take territory from Pakistan. Have the guts to attack us and see the outcome. But then again we don't have to lift a finger because the Taliban are destroying you.

I had a lol moment for the Fancy Naswar part :D ok I gotta admit it was funny.

On topic, I think we can learn from a frank argumentation with each other, can you point some of your counter arguments to the points that I and @pakistani342 raised.

/Peace

There you go, now you have listed some of the arguments, some carry weight like corruption rampant in Afghanistan which is true and I think the NUG has doing its bit in countering it, with others lets agree to disagree :)

BTW what does "young padawan" mean ? it actually means pretty bad in my language :D but I am sure you didn't mean that ;)

I think "mortally wounding" is a bit of a harsh word. The question is does Afghanistan want to have another lost generation that misses out on opportunities.

The state can still collapse but primarily due to internal pressures -- the Pakistani pressures may just be the tipping point.

For example Chabahar is not a natural water deep sea port -- it cannot relieve Iran's shipping needs let alone Afghanistan (and by extension India). What other routes does Afghanistan have?

As there are now other crises -- Afghanistan will get less money released despite whatever commitments are made.

Essentially think Gaza -- one difference is Gaza has a highly educated population.

Chabhar port will give everything necessary to Afghanistan .

On topic : That cut both ways .So far what I can see is that Pak Officials are struggling to maintain their image and making their points internationally .Then how can they turn 'screws against Afghanistan .

You have a point here and I think the credit needs to go NUG and Ashraf Ghani because he has really put the Pak side on defensive in the international arena and this goes without exaggeration but even the all weather friend China is nudging Pakistan to change course.
Have you seen latest article on how Pakistan is looking to enlist lobby firms in the US again after so many years because the policy makers feel that things are not going their way.

There is a strong bipartisan support in the US for the Afghan case even as it one of the longest conflict in the US history, the West has committed billions for years to come and the neighbours are rounding to have Afghanistan as a regional hub and are thus invested in its security and stability.

Am I the only one seeing the writings on the wall that GHQ must change its policies vis-a-vis Afghanistan or risk becoming a North Korea?

Yes I have seen that news .But how can they hire such a powerful lobby with their limited resources and pathetic image .
Afghanistan is very important for entire world and especially for India .
Ghani did the right thing .He did everything possible to make a peace with Pakistan and even neglected previous Afghan govt commitment with India .But as usual he failed .Our PM also showed same enthusiasm for a good relation with Pakistan but at the end he also embarrased in front of his own citizens .
You cant blame our mutual neighbour .This what happens wen you give policy creation control to uniforms that trained for battle field management .

Afghanistan has full backing of India .Our GoI will support Afghanistan for her democratic journey.

u people only strength is ur imagination of ur dady india who will never come to ur response

What makes you to think like that ?
Once we did that folly ,remain inactive when Afghanistan gone haywire .Even though we were nothing at that time we could have been do something for our Afghan brothers .And we got instant result through Kandahar Hijack .

Thats never going to happen again .We wont allow that .

Young Padawan is a Star Wars reference:) It basically means a Jedi training his apprentice. What does it mean in your language? Trust me Brother A-Team I don't hate you, otherwise I wouldn't affectionately call you brother. However I hate your country and what it represents.

You have not countered my arguments. Pakistan is coming stronger day by day. Terrorism has decreased in our country and CPEC in the near future will be a success. The Kabul government will collapse soon In'sha'allah and then they will be punished for their double standard games against Pakistan. What is your opinion on the rape case of an Afghan women? Instead of writing the assumption that Pakistan will become North Korea, at least accept the fact that your country is worse:)

Pakistan is a good 30-40 years ahead of Afghanistan . The two shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence . One is a regional power having a say in world politics , emerging economic power and the other is a basketcase .

Peshawer's economy alone will be bigger than all Afghanistan combined:D

But according to Brother A-Team Afghan foreign policy has alienated Pakistan in the international arena:) I guess when you eat to much chappal kebab the red meat goes to your head:) Afghanistan is about 100 years behind Pakistan. Basic infrastructure such as roads and hospitals does not exists in most part of their country. The economy would be crippled if Pakistan decided to stop trading with them and the Torkham border issue was a prime example. They loss millions of dollars and their media was crying like a baby.

Simple fact is they are a landlocked country and Pakistan is the cheapest route to export and imports goods. Look at there unemployment rate and how thousands of Afghans are migrating each month. They are a failed state and Pakistan will have to remind them of their place. Without Peshawar and especially Namak Mandi there traders can't export or facet their gems to the international or local Pakistani market. But we must let Brother A-Team dream because the poor fella has nothing else to latch on to.
