It's an open truth that Pakistan has been trying to revive the Khalistan movement. It is not only providing shelter to Khalistanis but also allowing many like Gurmit Singh Aulakh, Sardar Manmohan Singh Khalsa and Sardar Avtar Singh Sanghera to hold pro-Khalistan meetings inside Nankana Sahib, one of the most sacred Sikh places in Lahore, Pakistan. Pakistan's spy agency, the ISI is backing separatist leaders, who travel across the world in an attempt to revive insurgency in India's Punjab
state
. Not only Pakistan, Khalistani separatists in Europe, the USA and the UK also enjoy the patronage of Pakistan. On May 3, 2012 a conference organized by the Council of Khalistan to seek Independent Khalistan, was attended by Lord Ahmad, a Pakistani origin British lawmaker and many others. Lord Ahmad backed the Sikh demand for a UN supervised referendum on Khalistan in an attempt to fuel anti-India sentiments among the Sikhs.
