Pakistan to set up 2nd uranium enrichment plant
Thursday, August 23, 2007 ISLAMABAD Pakistan is planning to set up its second uranium enrichment facility, which will be placed under international safeguards and geared exclusively for the country's civilian nuclear power program, according to Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission sources.
The sources told Kyodo News the new enrichment facility is envisaged as part of the nearly $2 billion Pakistan Nuclear Power Fuel Complex to be built at Kundian in the district of Mianwali in Punjab Province.
