Those seeking to emulate Riyasat-i-Madinah should not be building temples, encouraging mushrikeen to visit religious sites (like giant buddha) that had long been forgotten and no one had cared about, or selling interest-bearing bonds. "Haraam" is a light word for some of these activities.
When you claim that you are trying to follow the path of the original Islamic state and end up completely going the wrong way and end up facilitating things like shirk which are hated by Allah(swt), don't be surprised when all your plans start falling apart-i.e., inflation, falling exports & tax revenues, etc.
As time passes by, it becomes even more clear to me that pseudo-Islamic governance will never work. Parliamentary democracy, secular & useless judicial system has enabled corruption to eat this country. This system has been an "adhaab" on Pakistan. A single leader with concentrated power and full control over government machinery (call it whatever you like - Ameer or President) is needed. Sharia courts will resolve cases in a single day instead of taking years and bribes.
