Pakistan 'to reopen key Nato Afghanistan supply route'

.
huh.. party over so early???

10 days were enough to record the protest. Do you know almost 500 trucks and containers are going almost daily halting which for 10 days have dented them alot.

Plus apology and accepting of their crime which otherwise they would have denied and would have drum beating their lie about targeting militants and not the check post

Valid.

The point has been made. It would however be lost if the next attack is not followed up similarly.

an apology is not enough to compensate for the lives lost..

Thats okay...I was expecting a little more escalation of the matters. After all,too many Pakistani lives are lost due to the so called 'mistakes' for such a long time.
This issue could have been used for a signature protest. How much does a little more than a week and a protest letter count after all.The Pakistanis should have gone for such a strong protest that from next time on the NATO would have kept that thing in mind before acting hastily.
Well,thats my point of view.

Very true. But i am sure they are not going to do that. If that happened then situation will be changed. But keeping in view many things i feel US will refrain from doing so.

Well NO. Strong escalation was not in favour of any side neither the region.

As far as Pakistanis are concerned i would say the protest would have been much much stronger if we as a Nation would have come to roads and protested it.

That did not happen which shows that onus is on us too for taking it lightly.

I know a little bit, just view things from a different and probably neutral perspective.

:) i feel you were viewing things from Indian perspective according to which rift between US-Pak at official level going to an escalation would have been good for India

.
Let's consider a hypothetical scenario:

Substitute Burma for Afghanistan, and Nagaland for FATA. Now consider a similar friendly-fire incident, with a background of on-going drone strikes.

India's policy of public posturing and private understanding would EXACTLY be the same as that being presently followed by Pakistan.

Now that post of yours makes me feel that you are viewing things from the NATO perspective rather than Pakistani perspective.

Innocent people keep dying due to mistakes in the attacks. This event should have been made an icon,to showcase what is happening. But nothing can be really achieved with such a weak government that Pakistan presently has.If the government is not willing to speak out then, well God bless Pakistan.....
