Pakistan is fast becoming what it was meant to be. What it's founding father Muhammad Ali Jinnah wanted it to be.
Rightly pointed and I agree fully, Pakistani by virtue of geography/ethnicity and religiously have always been a society of tolerance, movements of 50, 70 and the after effects are only due to the fact that all those people who were against creation of Pakistan wanted to become relevant in the new state and they had to create villains, and when the time came Zia was the one who made them from charity consumers of Thursday to monsters of yesterday, good thing is they are again becoming irrelevant. Last 15 years have taught valuable lessons to us, it is not our nature and doesn't suit us, we are not completely out of the woods but we will eventually become one of the best tolerant society with religious freedom for all.
@Mangus Ortus Novem @Dubious this is positive Pakistan, we are not doing out of compulsion, not due to any international pressure, not to meet any other obligation/demand but to give equal rights in freedom of belief to other Pakistanis.
Let's not bring our neighbors anymore to this, because there is really no comparison any more and we need to stop lowering our own standards by comparing ourselves with them.
I would rather use the term stooping that low, however, even if none of us want to compare this with them they will invite themselves for comparison. Nonetheless this is a good thing and as such should be encouraged, just like the matter of Katas Raj Temples.
