This newspaper seems to knowingly or unknowingly ignore the fact that majority of CPEC is on a BOT basis, meaning it was Chinese contractors funded by Chinese banks, they will build the project, operate for the agreed years and pass the ownership to Pakistan. The proportion of direct loan that was on a really low interest contriutes only like 10% of the $60+b total investment.

Btw, the number of concerned mind and their comments are totally heartening. Never thought CPEC can draw so much attention, this is a good sign.
