It used to be good, now it is not very good. There are better alternatives.

There are plenty of resorts. You can check them out through agoda.com. I had all inclusive package with buffet in breakfast, lunch and dinner. You probably want to go for 3-4 days and that is usually enough. The island i went to from main airport Male was Kuredu Island Resorts. I found sharks, fishes, right by the shore. Snorkling was fun too.
