This Iraqi farmer claims he shot down an Apache with a rifle

gal6_chopper.jpg

exceptions are alwayz there nothing is perfect,

the thing is how much probability this weapon have to shoot down helli.

.
but they are not usefull against Apache whats the benefit of using that

Sir, US lost more than 2 dozen Apache gunships during Iraq war... Half of them were hit ( MANPADs, heavy fire). Something same happened in Afghanistan.. Apache is not something invincible.... All it takes is a good shot.

Exactly sir. We had alot of chest thumping in PAF before joined in WOT along with US. We have seen last ten years. That's clearly answer. We can't do anything. The current situations in Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan is same level as Pakistan, it doesn't make differences or superior than others. Why? Look at the death of 4000 soldiers death and 40000 civlian which we never thought of our people died themselves.

You must be mistake, I don't think it is truth. I have heard same rumor. China has deployed S300 in China territory to protect Pakistan against US aggression after 28 martyers deaths. I doubt we have HQ-9 here in Pakistan.

Walaaikumu Salaam (P.S- You don't have to say 'Salaaam' every posts)

read it.. plz :what:

You are right, we have no match against West powers. Nothing else. We can't do open full wars against US but we accept to kill soldiers/civilain themselves in a proper way which saved money for US.

Probably you didn't read my previous posts. Let me past again.

Old thread

Anza, Manpads, shoulder to shoulders are useless.

Anza or Stinger or similar type missiles are heat seeking missiles , they go after the heat source and while the helis have chaffs and flares for protection against these that does not guarantee 100% safety from man pads , if the heli is flying low in hilly area then time of evasive action gets cut short even further.
Unguided RPGs have brought down Apachie's and Chinooks so I’m sure Anza , which has a seeker and is field proven , will be effective against intruding aircraft.
Americans are quite cowardly and once their warning systems in their cockpits will kick off , they’ll think twice of even can make errors , the yanks have till now have had it easy , I mean apart from RPGs they have not had to dodge missiles with seekers on them.

Assalam alaikum

i have to diaagree with u they have eman in u.s

TARIQ

I was referring towards our Army's ruling elite...cuz they lacks Eman on Allah SBWT thats why they fear from US/NATOs military/technical/financial power and refrain from fight.....thinks that not fighting will keep them safe.....they scared of their deaths. They don't know that even if they don't fight with US/NATO still they gonna come after them to kill them....:smokin:

I understand that what U saying about the discussion...but I guess U don't know that The Anzaz have been continuosly upgraded to counter anykind of infrared jamming etc. coming within its range. Its equally successful against all kindz of aircrafts even the stealth. Just there is a small tuning required against the infrared signatures even against the stealth....:smokin:

Pakistan to retaliate against future attacks: Khar

Updated 1 hour ago

Islamabad: Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar said that Pakistan would retaliate against all future attacks.

She was presiding over the two-day envoys’ conference that kicked off at the Foreign Office where senior officials of the ministry put their heads together to mull over Pakistan’s foreign policy issues in the wake of the Mohmand Agency air strike that the United States and Nato refuse to apologise for.

The ISI chief told the envoys that the Nato attack was intentional and provocative. Sixteen representatives from Pakistan’s missions in the US, Europe, Afghanistan and India arrived in the federal capital to attend the conference. Monday’s meeting ended with a dinner at the Foreign Office; participants are expected to come up with their recommendations today. Though no drastic changes are expected, “We will see some fine tuning of our foreign policy as we continue to face fresh challenges in the region,” is how one diplomat put it.

Earlier, it was clear that Pakistan was not taking its bilateral ties with the United States to a point of no return, when Foreign Minister Khar told The News: “We value our relations with the United States and Nato countries. Reassessment in our foreign policy will help us bring clarity which will be in the long term interest of our engagements with the US and others”.

Those who addressed Monday’s session included Foreign Minster Khar, Finance Minister Hafeez Pasha, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Khalid Shameem Wynne and ISI DG General Ahmed Shuja Pasha. At least for now, the civil and military establishment is on the same page, which sends a strong and clear message to world capitals that Pakistan won’t be taken for granted, specially because of its role in the region.

The Foreign Office spokesman last Thursday, while announcing the conference, said foreign policy is being reviewed after decisions taken by the federal cabinet and the Defence Committee. He said the envoys’ recommendations will be taken to parliament for a debate before Prime Minister Gilani makes a final announcement. “The purpose of the conference will be to deliberate on different aspects of Pakistan’s foreign policy,” he had said.

There was no official statement from the Foreign Office after the first day of the conference. Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani will address the participants today (Tuesday), said Foreign Office sources.
