Difficult to assess this. Clearly he himself is a traitor. Nobody is asking anyone to charge over any border with swords. However, our senior politicians have absolutely NO remit or right to shamelessly state "we want dialogue without the condition of cancelling the abrogation of 370, we want peace...basically we are afraid".

EVEN IF there is uncertainty over a volatile, fascist and powerful enemy, sending them such messages only strengthens them. So, unless SMQ has some genius trap in place for allowing India into AK and pulling a carpet out from underneath them, such overtures are the wrong approach in terms of diplomacy.

Far far better to Keep on repeating "all options remain on the table". This statement buys you time to figure out what to do, keeps opponents guessing regarding your plans, and doesn't present your own nation as a warmonger. Job done.

I'm reminded of Neville Chamberlain waving bits of paper around after appeasing Adolf Hitler.

Such appeasement never ever in the history of mankind changed the mind of an enemy hellbent on aggression. Even paying outright tribute will only delay the inevitable.

It isn't a zero sum game. Pakistan can very easily use a different approach against India without actually charging into nuke mode.

Yes, all these offers of giving access to Jadhav, 'begging' for bilateral talks are emanating from Mr. Qureshi
His ministry is definitely winking at the indian establishment. Since the start Qureshi is sending ambiguous signals undermining Pakistan position. Ghulam Sarwar Khan who is in charge of airspace did not give any statement after cabinett meeting, all other ministers have been consistent on KAshmir policy while this joke FM Qureshi who should be visiting every other country to lobby for KAshmir is extending peace overture to India everyday. Imran Khan has done more on raising Kashmir than this meek Foreign Minister who is I don't know on whoms payroll.
