Do you know how search engines works? Google started off as an academic search engine and look where it is today. Anyway the point here is, if the authorities of a country are so concerned about the privacy and faith of it's people then they should design their own system, engineer your own operating system for it. For instance banning Google will have it's repercussions in the short term, but in the long term you're making grounds for your own market to grow which is both secured and under your control.

wow... sounds like this new minister is in a hurry to make an impact. Neither google or youtube are desperate to get themselves un-banned in Pakistan. Maybe minister should recognize Pakistan's market value for both these companies before giving out warnings!
