What's new

Pakistan to act against LeT. No n-deal, or US role in Kashmir.

So some idiots think pakistan will act against JUD. Isnt it JUD already banned since 2003. Does it makr any difference, no.
So why worry this time

.
Although Pakistan will not be getting a nuclear deal nor US involvement in India - Pakistan matters, but Pakistan will be getting 8 F-16's. That is what I see many Indian security experts are missing.

I guess you should read the agreement again. I agree on N Deal. N Deal was just a speculation by the media, it was never on table, while agreement on LeT is real.

Nawaz-Obama meeting: Agreement to act effectively against all terrorist groups - Pakistan - DAWN.COM

Pakistan wasn't really looking for an N deal with the US, we already have such an agreement with China. We wanted them to relax restrictions imposed by the NSG. The talk of 8 f-16s is also a mere speculation. It isnt the early 2000s anymore , when we had no other option then to buy f-16s. Things are opening up for us in Eastern Europe specifically in Russia.

US-Pakistan relations dont have the same meaning as they used to, a decade ago. Both countries have moved on. Although this doesn't change the fact, that they still desperately need our assistance in afghanistan. They also want us to join their Anti-IS alliance.

If you want to see the real outcomes of Pak-US meetings, then wait for the Raheel Shareef - Obama meeting next month.

You ignoramus, we aren't talking about rape. This is about your lame duck dossiers that provide zero proof of Indian involvement. Grow up, stop talking crap and trying to derail the thread by obfuscating the real issue.

LOL Truth hurts, doesn't it curry duck? Your American ally should also give some thought to the plight of women in India. The last time I checked, women were being raped without someone batting an eye lid. You just worry about the rape endemic in your country before lecturing others about anything.

For all the bonhomie on China, you depend too much on US. Only US has some influence on Modi government to bring India and Pakistan to the table for talks. Your PM failed there big time on that. I have to say his trip to US was a failure.

We don't rely on the Americans and we frankly don't need them. The Americans keep bribing Pakistan to belong in their camp. The Americans made the F-16 offer. We didn't ask them. The Americans provide aid which never reaches the intended recipients anyway. We don't care about their aid. We don't belong in their camp and had it been up to the people of Pakistan we wouldn't have accepted their aid bribes.

China has invested billions of dollars in Pakistan. China provides fighter jets and other major defence equipment to Pakistan. This isn't some bonhomie buddy. Get your facts right.

"The two leaders expressed concern over violence along the Line of Control, and noted their support for confidence-building measures and effective mechanisms that are acceptable to both parties. The leaders emphasized the importance of a sustained and resilient dialogue process between the two neighbors aimed at resolving all outstanding territorial and other disputes, including Kashmir, through peaceful means and working together to address mutual concerns of India and Pakistan regarding terrorism"

This was enough for us. What were you expecting that they would call out Indian PMs name in the joint statement? or were they gonna directly fly to New Dehli together and sort this out like Frat boys.

Failure really ?

"President Obama affirmed Pakistann's role as a key counter-terrorism partner and recognized the sacrifices that Pakistani civilians, military, and law enforcement personnel have made over the years as they confront terrorism and militant groups. The President expressed particular appreciation for Pakistann's ongoing support to degrade and ultimately defeat al-Qan'ida and its affiliates, noting that this partnership has helped to decimate the groupn's leadership and operational capacity and has disrupted plots against the U.S. homeland. The President also honored the sacrifices of the Pakistani security forces in Operation Zarb-e-Azb and other operations, which have degraded the ability of militants to plan and execute terrorist attacks and noted further steps being taken in this regard in line with the National Action Plan. In turn, the Prime Minister thanked the United States for its support in bolstering Pakistann's counter-terrorism capacity. "

No more "do more do more ". No more blaming us for every firecracker that goes off in Afghanistan. No more accusations or scapegoating.

" President Obama commended Pakistan for hosting and facilitating the first public talks between the Afghan government and the Taliban in July 2015 and highlighted the opportunity presented by Pakistann's willingness to facilitate a reconciliation process that would help end insurgent violence in Afghanistan. "

greater role in Afghanistan. US willingness to endorse pakistani hosted Afghan peace talks. Hmmmm doesnt sound like failure to me.We got exactly what we wanted !

I don't even know whether there will be a formal Raheel Shareef - Obama meeting. US presidents seldom meets army chiefs of other countries. Even if there is a meeting between Raheel Shareef - Obama meeting, what are you expecting? If you want US use its influence to bring India to tables, your PM failed on his mission and I don't see anything dramatic things to happen between Raheel Shareef - Obama. May be some talks on Anti-IS alliance and Af--Pak as US postponed its pullout from Afghanistan

If you are happy with the mention of Kashmir then OK. And there was no need for NS to go US or that. But I thought you people would like US to influence India to tables.

I understand you are happy with China. But what with your problems with India? How will China help there?

Do you think that somehow the entire world revolves around India ? There was a long list of agenda that the two parties discussed like trade ( Pakistan's accession to the TIR Convention ,Access to US markets ) , energy ( TAPI , CASA-1000 electricity corridor) , Education (Science and Technology Working Group) and Afghanistan (Taliban peace talks).

And btw Pakistan never asked the united states or any third party to intervene. According to the Simla accord , talks between India and Pakistan will only be Bi-lateral. Status Quo remains .

Not for the world, but yes for Pakistan. Majority of Pakistan's foreign policy and external threat concerns are from India.

We're fine with the way things are. Want peace, we're okay with that. Want war, we'll give you one you will never forget. It's all up to you Kalamoo.

India is also ok with no peace and no war situation.

Same can be said about India aswell. Modi has almost always mentioned or indirectly talked about the threat from Pakistan in his tours abroad. His tour in Bangladesh and UAE are some of the examples. We are in a state of cold war what do you expect.

Modi mentions Pakistan but his world doesn't revolves around Pakistan. He uses Pakistan to further his political goals, but he has no real interest in Pakistan.
