Pakistan test fires Hatf VII missile

Guys, vertical launch taxes range, hence the 600km.

OK now it is in a canister, but it is still hot launched. What I like less is the downgrade from a quad launcher to a single-canister-on-a-truck. But hey it's only in development, we can see clusters of these launchers on PN surface ships: maybe indigenous solutions can be integrated with the FFG-7 under the transfer contract.

Now they're also mentioning on-board TERCOM and DESMAC, so it will have independence from GPS. But seriously, have we got maps to designated targets taken at different hours of the day and of the night. Is the big boy even able to fly at night?

I guess it was never 700kms...:undecided:

Each test is done under different conditions and against different targets. This Hatf-VII Babar Land Attack Cruise Missile (LACM) test was against the target 600 km away. Previous tests of Hatf-VII Babar Land Attack Cruise Missile (LACM) were against targets which were 500 and 700 kilometers away.

As this was a cruise missile test range can't be reduced that much because of vertical launch. Extra range could also be used to approach the enemy target from the direction they expect you least i.e. indirect approach instead of going from point A to Point B directly.

Single launcher is used because of the fact that this is a test launch not a operational test launch by the Army Strategic Force Command.

Off-topic, i don't know if you see this. This happened last month a succcessful test and see @ 0:49 (army celebration ).

The missile can carry conventional and other warheads, the ISPR said. — Photo by AFP (File)

this is not Babur!!

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan on Thursday conducted a successful test of the indigenously developed Cruise Missile Hatf-VII (Babur) having a range of 600 kms.

Alhamdulillah

Congrats! great job done by our scientists and engineers

Congratz....

Do you think they did it just for 'checking' it. They surely did some big changes which can be seen in launch mode and canister etc etc.... what other changes they put we don't know.... Maybe increase of speed. Also the canister is looking bigger than my expectation of requirement of babur.

MIM-23 Howk SIR JEE
