Pakistan violates ceasefire along LoC; forces rescue children stuck inside two Naushera schools

After resorting to indiscriminate heavy shelling and firing on the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir, the Pakistani army on Tuesday resorted to shelling in Rajouri district's Naushera sector.

Defence ministry sources said Pakistani army used small arms, automatics and mortars to target Indian positions in Bhawani Jhanger area of Naushera sector in Rajouri district. A car was also hit by a mortar in the cross-fire.

Though civil administration had closed 16 schools indefinitely in areas close to the LoC in Rajouri district, mobile bullet proof bunker vehicles were rushed to rescue children trapped in a building in schools in Naushera sector. According to ANI, children were stuck inside two government schools. Security forces later rescued children from both the schools.

Heavy firing exchanges between Indian and Pakistan army continued in Naushera sector when last reports came in, defence sources said.

Earlier on Tuesday, Pakistan resorted to indiscriminate shelling and firing on the LoC in two sectors of Jammu and Kashmir, a defence official said.

The Pakistani army initiated the unprovoked firing in Bhimber Gali and Poonch sectors along the LoC, defence ministry spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Manish Mehta said.

The firing started at 6.45 am, using small arms, automatics and mortars, to which the Indian Army retaliated "strongly and effectively".

The district administration in Rajouri has shut down 16 schools close to the LoC indefinitely. It has also ordered migration of the civilian population to safer places.

The move came after a soldier and a child were killed on Monday in Pakistani shelling on the LoC in Rajouri.

In Uri sector too, a soldier and two civilians were injured in ceasefire violation by Pakistan on Monday.

Bulletproof Vehicles Were Rushed In To Evacuate Children After Pakistan's Ceasefire Violation In Nowshera

Sajida Kousar, an 8-year-old girl, was killed in another unprovoked ceasefire violation by Pakistan, this time in Kashmir's Poonch sector.

Pakistan's targeting of civilian populated areas with schools deserves further condemnation once one takes into consideration the horrific Peshawar Army Public School massacre in December 2014 in which 132 schoolchildren were killed by gunmen affiliated to with the Tehrik-i-Taliban. At that time, the Indian government, including the seniormost leadership, had been unanimous in condemning the heinous act.

Pakistan army uses snipers to target Indian soldiers or uses Artillery to target Indian posts. Thee is no indiscriminate firing from Pakistani side.
India is doing propaganda.

Jammu is the region where Hindus live as Kashmir is for Muslims?

I read in this forum that the super sanctimonious Pak army never targets Indian civilians, the reality is different however, people supporting this are the same people who whines like crazy when unfortunate civilian deaths happen in Pakistan due to Indian shelling, what chutiyatic hypocrites.
