Pakistan Taliban chief Hakimullah Mehsud killed in drone strike.

.
Well at least we Discuss , unlike you people who blindly Agree with whatever you Media & Gov feeds you .

I think it you who need to get their act straight.

We have been soft on terrorists and exposed our soft underbelly more often than not to your guys. No two ways about that. So I actually agree with you.

Personally I would just go in with tanks and drag their families and wives and kids into the streets, to draw them out.

.
I wonder how many more civilians would have to pay the price for the killing of this one man. They would certainly increase their activities tenfold now and all claims about how they are cornered are far from the truth.

Well restricting my opinion to this one , not a single " innocent " has died so far in this drone strike . All of them targeted were high value targets rotting in hell , at the moment . What good were they doing to us , even when the Govt was pursuing the peace path ? Blowing up and killing like usual . So show a little spine , a little bravery instead of this " We are all gonna die " stance .

.
And aren't we the pathetic ones for tolerating this intransigence? For God sakes we have one of the most toughest and well drilled military machines out there, instead of eliminating these pigs with an intensified military action we are actually talking to them.

The only entity the citizens of Pakistan should be afraid of is the State, and not a bunch of criminals. I have said it before and i will say it again, an operation in NW is long overdue. The country needs to be rid of these terrorists, their safe havens need to be destroyed and a military operation needs to be employed with no mercy being shown to these pigs. Its such a shame that our politicians think that talking to these criminals is going to lead to a prolonged peace. It certainly will not, it will only embolden them and strengthen them. Its Military Strategy 101 that you never let your enemy regroup, while we on the other hand are offering them this chance on a Golden Platter.

I couldn't agree more.

Hakimullah and his gang of Salafi inspired TTP thugs deserve to be sent to hell. That said, killing him or his successors alone will not decimate the TTP. Someone else will be nominated by TTP's Salafi masters to take his place.

Just as there are non-state actors in Pakistan fighting to carve out a salafi-inspired state, there are 'non state directors' in the Saudi Salafi establishment, orchestrating these violent insurgencies and propping up non state actors: the TTP in Pakistan, Al Nusra in Syria, AQAP in Yemen, AQIM in Mali, ISIS in Iraq, Al Shabab in Somalia, Abu Sayyaf in Philipines, Boko Haram in Nigeria, Ansar Al Sharia in Tunisia...the list goes on and on.

While TTP foot soldiers and its ilk fight on the ground, the Salafi jihadist establishment provides the ideological and operational guidance as well as the funding to all these organizations through its Al Qaeda affiliates as directed by its 'non state directors' sitting in Saudi.

This is a war being waged by Salafi jihadists against the rest of the muslim world, and the western world. The goal is to overthrow existing states and set up salafi takfiri states around the world and eventually link them under the umbrella of a salafi caliphate.

That is why the TTP continues to reject the pakistani state's constitution, its founding principles, and democratic system , because they are looking to take over the state as per the directive from their masters.

If the Pakistani state and the US establishment are smart, they will realize that this war cannot be won just by targeting the non-state foot soldiers like TTP. At the end of the day, the fight must also be taken to the ' non state directors' sitting in Saudi , dreaming of a salafi caliphate and orchestrating diabolical insurgencies around the world.

Friday’s attack. Instead, enraged Taliban commanders have vowed to repay Mr. Mehsud’s killing in bloodshed. “Our revenge will be unprecedented,” Abu Omar, a Taliban commander in North Waziristan, said by phone on Friday.

Mr. Omar said he considered the Pakistani government “fully complicit” in the drone strike. “We know our enemy very well,” he said.

Maybe its a good thing for you guys. To eventually face up to reality. See through the mirage of good taliban bad taliban. And bring down hell on taliban sympathizers and miscellaneous mullas all around.

America wants to sabotage the peace dialogue between Pakistan and TTP . thats why at first they lunch series of bomb blasts in Peshawar to change the opinion of PTI , when they failed to do so then they went for alternate option and kill Hakeem to achieve their ambition.

If the peace talks were so important why hasn't the Pak govt made one single move to start the process yet? It's clear that the GOP was waiting for a chance to kill this dog all along.

The GOP and PA aren't stupid. If they can run the country, rig elections, steal billions under the people's noses they are smart enough to deal with some jahil nutcases. I wondered why NS was being so quiet - so many people on this forum criticised GOP for talking peace from a position of weakness and that you can't negotiate with animals. NS has shown that even he understands this.

And please! is anyone in Pak still naive enough to think that US drones can target these areas without govt support?

Mr if they are your own why do they kill your own? If they kill your own are they really your own Mr? While you grovel and apologize for them and try to "win" them over, they will be going all out to kill as many of you (their "own") as they can Mr.

Rather than being demoralized this might be a rallying point for them and any splinter groups will join up. They might decide to open multiple fronts up with their Punjabi offshoot as well. Perhaps even Karachi would erupt since the Rangers were too busy in cleaning criminals they forgot terrorists. So as such, this strike does not bode well for us by any normal analysis. Perhaps in some hopeful land beyond the burqa trees there is a chance that they are in utter disarray after this strike and end up throwing down arms and saying sorry.
At this point, we have no idea of their response other than speculation but in all certainty it will be bad. The Afghan Taliban might end up tolerating the Karzai government and they'll handle their troubles as they always do on their own. What we will be left with is a possibly 100000+ strong force of well trained militants throughout Pakistan along with 3-4 million more "Almost willing" supporters who will gladly ruin any chance of an economic recovery.

Seeing the hue and cry , the shock and awe and the grief stricken nation that Pakistanis are presenting themselves to be , after the death of a terrorists who was involved in the murder of thousands of our own , you are right on the money and speak the " reality on ground " . We weren't living in peace during the " dialogue process " by any chance , right ? So what is going to change , the intensity of the attack ? Let it be , its still better than quietly watching their propaganda flourish and the Pakistani media give them coverage to no end . The Americans leaving Afghanistan is surely not a good " omen " for Islamabad as previously thought , the Afghan Taliban will come to terms and the blood lust in Pakistan will continue with support from a " radicalized and confused nation " .

@Oscar your fear is true those in south wazir stand who had peace agreement with army for quite sometime even they have decide to break it and we may loose south wazirirstan soon too

.
You just can't expect to waltz in and start giving the Mullahs, orders.

At that time , the Mullah waltz in and started giving us orders , we couldn't have given up Islamabad .

.
UNTIL PAKISTAN & AFGHANISTAN BORDER ARE NOT AS CLEAR & INFILTRATION NOT STOPED, TALIBAN OR THAT TYPE OF FORCE WOULD NOT COME TO AN END.

What does it mean "we may lose south Waziristan"? Did we ever have control over that peculiar territory, I don't think so! Waziristan has been home to all the ogres of the world!
