Pakistan Taleban 'want to talk'

May I ask who are those real Talibans?

sir real taliban we can say afghans.as you know they reject TTP as taliban mullah umer our baitullah from taliban because he use more power to fight pakistan then usa nato.its clear they are agents of CIA MOSSAD RAW

Is pakistan army stronger then Us and NATO.US and allies are try to deal at talaban terms and conditions becuase US and allies are losing war in Afghanistan.
I think pakistan army is trying to make peace with Talaban in swat and fata.Pakistan army can not offord long term war with talaban.
Talaban are well trained and equiped ,they can continue war for more than 100 years.
God know who will come after bush and zardari.US and allies dont afford gurrilla war with talaban for long term basis .defeat of USSR is very good example to understand the gurrilla warfare tactics.Afghanistan and long term irag war is main reason of US financial crisis.
It is in our national intrest to stop this induced war of US immediately otherwise map of pakistan may be changed with few years.

Taliban talks offer not sincere, says Afrasiab

October 22, 2008

PESHAWAR: Taliban’s talks offer is not sincere and the provincial government is faced with rebellion in some districts, Awami National Party NWFP President Afrasiab Khattak said on Tuesday.

He was talking to the media at Frontier House after a ceremony arranged by the Peace Foundation to award financial assistance to the heirs of those killed in different incidents of terrorism in the province. He said that militants from 40 countries had entered Afghanistan at the start of the Afghan war, and that same militants had now turned the Tribal Areas into a battlefield.

He said the Taliban had destroyed a large number of schools, particularly in Swat, depriving 300,000 children of education. He said the Taliban had held tribal people hostage, which was the reason why a large number of people had been killed in North Waziristan. He said the coalition government signed peace agreements soon after it came to power and still stood by them. But the Taliban have adopted the path of terrorism instead of honouring the peace accords, he added. zakir hassnain

In Fact Talaban have roots in putoon tribes. They love talaban and their struggle against US and allied forces.
They think it is jahad, and they are suporting talaban against Us allies.

That is the reason Us and allied forces are now ready to talk with talaban in aghanistan.

Let see what is result of these talks ,we hope satuation in NWFP will be normalized after sucessful peace agreement between US and Allied forces.

U.S., Britain, and Germany will send more, not less, troops to Afghanistan next year. U.S. is committed to three additional brigades. We won't be cease-firing anytime soon nor will ISAF numbers be decreasing anytime soon. Instead, they'll grow larger.

Talks? Afghanistan and America will talk with anybody who'll first lay down their arms, declare loyalty to and respect the afghani constitution, and take part in the electoral process. If they do so under those terms, I'd hardly consider them "taliban" any longer. Would you? Those terms, btw, sound no different than those by which the GoP would entertain discussions.

MY terms for talking would include the necessary recording of bio-metrics of their recanting miscreants such that, should they again pick up arms and be captured on the battlefield, off with their heads...whoops, sorry. We don't do that, do we?

sometimes we do as in saudi arabia!

Pakistan would be doing mankind a massive favor if it invaded Saudi Arabia and ended the only true feudal kingdom still left in the modern world.

You'd be better for it and so would the rest of mankind. You used to keep troops there to guard the kingdom from itself.

Who's watching the watchers? Didn't Shakespeare ask that salient question in Julius Caesar?

I'd be so happy. They've spread so much misery and paid such a small price. That should end.

In seven years with full air support US and allied forces can not control the Talaban movement.

Reason is not that they have less numder of birgades.

The reason is US army dont have experience to fight in mountain area gurilla warfare. They are trained for fight with modern weapons in plan areas.

How a soilder with loaded with equipment heavier than his body weight climb on 12000 feet high mountain .

They are just sitting from seven years in their bankers and firing with machine guns under cover of cora helicopters.

Talaban love death more than wisky the amrican love. For american safety is first for talaban safety is last.

"Talaban love death more than wisky the amrican love."

Yeah. That is a tough one but, though we love our whisky, we really love dead talibunnies.

Amazing, isn't it? Here's some pictures of guys lying around their "bankers" [sic] and shootin' those ol' machine-guns-

Hope you enjoy. Please note the deep sense of fatigue and general sloppiness while our lads take in the sites of Kunar and Nuristan...

Must be all that whisky:lol:

Present Afghan govt. represent criminal warlords and drug traders. I can imagine what kind of constitution criminals can come up with. I wonder if their is any constitution and if it came in to existance by any constitutional way!
Afghanistan is all about drug trade and that is why negotiations with Taliban are being initiated, because they destroy popy crop when guard is away.
Any how, it is only S.A. who is putting forward your legitimate request to Taliban..... Shouldn't you be feeling obliged to them for all the good they do to you?
Have you ever wonder, what will happen if Saudis got pissed by your comments? that's why you and your fighting soldiers does not matter to the wise guys running the show.
Why do you overlook the most obvious solution to your agonies and that is simply fly back to your part of world as you did last time after the Russian-Afghan war!
By the way don’t forget Talibans are native to the land asking them to stop resisting the foreign invasion can be difficult argument to prove diplomatically and we are witness to the success of forcing arguments by bombing …..
Don’t expect that you can negotiate without giving them share in the present govt. and this is what it is all about in Afghanistan and nothing to do with issues of American nation, wasting their tax money and putting American lives at risk for boosting (covert) drug trade.

Batman,

I think one would have to show that the Afghan elections were fraudulent to argue that the constitution is invalid.

One must also recognize that the Taliban did not come to power through the ballot box either. I think the Afghan constitution is pretty conservative anyway (death for converting from Islam etc.), so the ideal situation would be for the Taliban factions to reconcile with the GoA, join the political process (participate in internationally monitored elections, Saudis, other Arabs.Muslims etc.).

"Afghanistan is all about drug trade and that is why negotiations with Taliban are being initiated, because they destroy popy crop when guard is away."

Ah, biting the hand that feeds the taliban, you say? Not now and not back in the day, Batman. You wallow in myths and fantasies if you believe otherwise.

Time for this lie to be put to rest.

Afghan Opium Production: Metric Tons (Figures provided by the U.S. Gov't and UNODOC- take your pick)

1996- 2099/2248

1997- 2184/2804

1998- 2340/2102

1999- 2861/4581

2000- 3656/3276

2001- 74/NA

Easy enough to find these numbers. They are scattered all over the internet. My guess is you routinely prefer myths to fact and conspiracy to face value. Can you, for instance, explain the INCREASE in production between 1998 and 1999? Hmmm... How about today? UNODOC estimates $120,000,000 earned into taliban coffers these days. The U.S. estimates about $90,000,000.

Dope is more than just a warlord thingy.
