Geo Super brings world’s first WhatsApp ChatBot to its viewers

In a first, famed Pakistani sports channel Geo Super has brought to its valuable viewers, the world's first ever Whatsapp-oriented interactive Chatbot.

For increased viewer participation and satisfaction, the distinct Chatbot offers a wide range of features to its subscribers. In the wake of the on-going Pakistan Super League (PSL), the bot offers match summary alerts sent to all users every 20 minutes.

The bot also allows for subscribers to cast their vote in various match polls where at the end results are shared.

Using the bot, the subscribers also have a chance to get score updates anytime by typing ‘score’ and sending it to the bot. This enables them to receive the latest score updates of the ongoing match.

Subscribers can also type ‘schedule’ and send it to the bot to get details about today’s matches such as the scheduled matches between teams.

By typing ‘points’, the subscribers can use the bot to access latest points status and by typing ‘share’, details regarding how the bot can be shared with friends.

To access live streaming, subscribers can type 'live' and send it to the bot, whereas typing 'Urdu' gives them update instructions in roman Urdu.

Additionally, the distinct bot is learning fast by the questions asked by subscribers, and will soon be able to answer more specific questions that require details about teams, players and past matches.

Interesting trivia quizzes for the users to test their cricket knowledge and be recognized as a Super Cricket Fan are soon to be introduced.

DUBAI: Quetta Gladiators stand at no 1 with 0.682 net run rate while Peshawar Zalmi stood at second position at the PSL 2019 points table at the end of match 10th match.


Friday’s fixtures:

Match 10: Lahore Qalandars v Multan Sultans, Lahore Qalandars won by six wickets.

Match 11: Islamabad United v Peshawar Zalmi, (9:00 pm)

Peshawar Zalmi have won two of their three encounters so far, first against Lahore Qalandars and second against Karachi Kings , while they lost against Quetta Gladiators.

Karachi Kings started their PSL campaign on a high when they defeated Multan Sultans in a close contest by seven runs. However, they lost the next game to Lahore Qalandars by 22 runs. While, Zalmi thrashed Kings in today's clash by 44 runs.

The Gladiators have played three matches which they have won against the Peshawar Zalmi on Friday, Islamabad United Sunday and Multan Sultans on Thursday.

Quetta Gladiators win by 3 wickets: 148/7


Quetta Gladiators' captain Sarfaraz six hit in the last ball maintained the team's top spot on the table as they defeating Lahore Qalandars in a nail-biting thriller by three wickets with 148 runs, in the 12th match of Pakistan Super League's (PSL) fourth edition.

Shane Warson, Rilee Rossouw and Umar Akmal had scored a hefty number of of runs for the Gladiators in the earlier matches but not this time they could not keep up the pace.

The winning team had dominated against the Lahore Qalandars in the first innings as well as fast bowler Ghulam Mudassar took two wickets unleashing pressure for the other side.

Despite Fakhar Zaman being in good form, he could only deliver three runs before getting knocked out after which Salman Butt joined Sohail Akhtar on the pitch in the first innings.

Lahore Qalandars’ captain AB de Villiers in spite of the injury he received continued to bat and led the team to a fair score of 143; However the Gladiators were able to chase the target regardless.

On the other hand, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Brendan Taylor were not part of the play today owing to injuries.
