Pakistan successfully tests indigenous drone Burraq and Barq laser guided missile

Drone operating software running on Windows XP, lozz.

The video showed the firing was pin point accurate which is great & the missiles were fired from some height which is good to. I really hope Pakistani Scientist are now able to make missile equivalent to Hell Fire.

Congrats to all.:pakistan:

Question is can we use the drones against cold feet doctrine? Are they any good for halting or striking armoured advances? As in using large numbers of them?

this is a big NO
it has a very bad political fall out if it goes bad. even American people are really upset for being spied by the drones and the privacy activists are warning people that the police might have armed drones and hunt down illegal parking offences and tax dodgers with these drones.

any Ariel based weaponry is not meant for domestic settled areas, police helicopters with a sniper are an exception to that rule
apart from that Only surveillance I am afraid. no shooting. no matter how much accurate .. people will make up stories just like bearded people with mehrabs on their foreheads swear saying that PAF fire bombed and used white phosphorus on Lal Masjid killing over 2 thousand innocent women.

yeah , that make sense ... and i agree , people are expert in making up stories , and even swearing on Quran ...

and what if we Introduce a Beard version of Burraq

No small achievment! Congrats everyone.

No doubt Burraq is based on Ch-3 design. Doesn't mean everything is same inside. It is a step forward. Though may not be predator class, but it can find and kill terorrists. Our scientists and engineers will refine its systems and hopefully keep updating this important tool against terorrists.

Don't be dismayed by limited payload. First US drone also carried two hellfire. They were enough to make Al-Qaeda's life miserable. Moving target engagement capability is interesting. It makes it even more lethal. All weather capability is another plus however I will take it with a pinch of salt. Laser guided weapons and IR weapons are known to be effected by bad weather.

The visual may be running windows.
Fancy display drivers are mostly not available for embedded or rtos.

The drone itself will be running a RTOS;
If I could guess, I would say Vx...

A Valuable Addition once again congrats to our Pakistani Partners

any Indian armoured advance will not only have a multi layered air defence umbrella but also air superiority thanks to the flanker and in the future, FGFA.

missile defense ( to likes of hell fire ) will move with the armor columns ?

do you even know what you are talking about ?

how come you know that? , have been in the project (i am serious)?

in my opinion looks mean nothing, every airplane looks the same in some way. and the word based is not a relevant word in airplane designing anyway

as for any other ambitions

sorry, couldn't resist :partay:

Burraq can take on those too, in low flight. First one to light up the radar, second one with anti-radiation missiles, 3rd one to neutralize that big system. Cost is a fraction of that system or of a tank. All those Burraqs cost much less than one big air defense missile.

here i would like to Thank Gen Raheel Sharif , because since he take charge , we are seeing some Missile test and now this ... so keep up the good work Sir ...
This has nothing to do with any sort of change in leadership. These projects were under-development for quite a while.

However, the public disclosure of a UCAV is a surprise move and could have come from him.
