Pakistan stand on Iran / Saudia (very serious) crisis

Prime Minister of Pakistan "Nawaz Sharif" should go to Saudia and then Iran ... he can do that easily... its all about priority... always sitting duck position and show zero leadership actually further sideline Pakistan... show the world at least Muslim countries that Asian Tiger is back on the seat - Pakistan in and always in position to initiate constructive peace process between Saudia and Iran any time... Its not a big deal for Pakistan maybe for the world. Today step taken by Imran Khan is extremely great the way he went to Saudi Ambassador and after met Irani ambassador to ease the tension btw two countries. Its not all about two countries conflict, its about millions of people... Muslim world already gone through Iran/Iraq, Iraq/Kuwait, Lebanon, Yemen conflicts.... no gain... For people who are consistent talk about Pakistan should be neutral... the way current Pakistan sitting duck position is not neutral anyway... Pakistan has capability to intervene in this crisis...

You think that this is all about Saudia and Iran ? totally wrong calculation. This crisis will effect Pakistan in future. You've no idea that how many infact maximum numbers of Pakistanis living in Arab countries and also in Iran.

I am from those Pakistani's whom entire family faced Iraq and Kuwait conflict (gulf War 1991) so know the reality and crisis of future. Maybe you've no idea about that...

Pakistan rather than becoming a sandwich should play the diplomatic card to diffuse tensions..At the same time wrapping its sleeves to deliver a tough warning to Tehran..as Iran is a massive drain on our economy due to KHUMS money laundering.

Good in theory bad in practice..because money rules politics..thousands of Pakistani work in Saudi...And Saudis have billions of Investment in Pakistan..and traditionally it has always been Saudis who came to the rescue..be it oil..or 2005 Earth quake disaster...

Who are we kidding? Most of us are anything but Pakistani. We are Pathan, Baluchi, Punjabi, Pahari, Seraiki, Sindhi, Muhajir, Ptian, N Leaguey, High Class, low class Shia, wahhabi(read Irani, Saudi), Jiyala, pro fauj, anti fauj and so on. 90% Shia adore Iran and 90% Wahabi are in total love with Saudia (according to my humble experience) lets not kid ourselves, and they won't change no matter what. Try convincing them otherwise and see the results! They will hate your guts. The best Pakistan can do is to try to bring them closer because invariably this fire will reach us. Kisi ka Qibla Pakistan nai!

Pak Iran relation is bound to remain futile, if not change for the worse, with or without Pak's siding with KSA for a number of reasons. Pak has time and time again tried to appease Iran only to wake up to the bitter reality that she took it for granted.

I wouldn't risk losing Uganda trying to appease Iran, let alone KSA.

Standing shoulder to shoulder with our brotherly nation KSA is Pak's best bet - it always has been. I hope our government would realize it before it's too late.

I'd be all for that, if only Pakistan wielded that much influence !

Iran and Israel, US and Russia, Saudi and Iran.. Pakistan just cant play these like India has

India doesn't have that much or any influence of ME politics either, but are a huge market for the oil + are not shackled by the sectarian chains that virtually bind Pakistan to the Saudis and the idea of the sunni Ummah.

Russia, China, and, to a much lesser extent, India, will always support Iran, in the UNSC, diplomatically, and by oil purchases defying uncle sam and the wahhabi al Sauds.

So that doesn't mean Pakistan should takes sides in such a mess. What we need to do is to reduce dependency on other countries. Bring Jobs home and after that bring Pakistanis back home. Also, educate our masses to STOP the blind love for Saudi or Iran because they belong to certain religious school of thought.
So we need to spend our energies on Pakistan. Take steps towards becoming self sufficient and STOP selling religion to masses!
and BTW why Pakistanis hold Saudis so close to their hearts I have never understood that. Same Saudis are leveling many historic Muslim sites (sahabas, sofis graves) on the name of development. Saudis are businessmen making money of Makkah and Medina that's about it!!
