Pakistan spreading propaganda about 1971 genocide: PM

Thanks for your honest opinion.

It's a dirty tactics by Bharti-Awami nexus to keep this hate alive between two Muslims nations. It's in their best interests to have us hate each other. This is the bottom line. Enemiy is doing what enemy would do. Sad part is that we have failed to understand this simple fact.

Good analysis, and you are right.

There is the common religion between the two nations of Pakistan and Bangladesh.

The religion is the common factor.

I've spend enough time to come to conclusions that what spewed by Bharat nawaz BD politicians is flat out lies.

I believe BD political party keep throwing rock at Pakistan to hide their failures. They neither turned Bd into wealthy nation nor has capabilities to safeguard nation's interests against Indian aggression.

Pakistan however achieved something no other Muslim nations did.

Preparator always move on.It is the victim of crime who can not forget, what injustice was done to him.

Turkey also want to move on,but alas! those pesky Armenian are not allowing it to move on with all those genocide blood is still in it's hand.No wonder Turkey and Pakistan are happy bed fellow.

Victims are on both sides, please stop playing the holistic monk. The repression of the Bihari population and other Pro Pakistani Bengalis is also very well documented. But why doesn't Hasina or other moral upright beings in Bangladesh talk about them? I guess the perpetrator there has moved on too?

I am one of thew few Pakistani posters to acknowledge the extra-judicial murders committed by Pro Pakistani forces, but I am not a blind jingoist who can't see past his country's flag to the crimes committed.

Cannot comment on Pakistan, but Bangladesh is a Peoples Republic and not a muslim nation (whatever that is)... by the way I was thinking to baptize my car (make it a christian car).

Anyways there is no reason to hate anyone, but I do feel sorry for some of the heinous acts done by Pakistani Army (and their chela pela ), specially killing of most of the intellectuals. As a result we are now left with uneducated people like yourself.

What is that thing that Pakistan achieved that is so unique?
Nuclear proliferation??

And again Bangladesh is a Peoples republic... not a muslim nation or whatever.

We are a nuclear armed nation.

Listen Bengalee boy, what has your nation accomplished or done better than Pakistan?

Pakistan is an Islamic Republic.

woww, this is how Bangladeshi hindu professors brainwash. All those doctors, engineers, in US & UK incl. this former Pakistani Fazlur Khan are the uneducated lot u are left with?

Corruption and the commission embezzled in Padma Bridge was diverted with this murder of opposition members,

With them alive you would still be unrehabilitated, christening your car durga maata with a marx star on her back area rofl. You killed Bangla nationals judiciously by calling them Pakistanis to cover her proxy rule of india and corruption and celebrated shamelessly, is that a civilized developed nation? After watching that I first time agreed with why Assam call you sub humans and don't want you in their state.

I hope it goes to international court so that Sheikh Christine Wajid, Sajeb Wazed and her christian grandchildren have to PROVE 3 million and at the same time hide the anti-rajakaar mob killings, adivasi murdered by incoming mukti bahini terrorists from india. It;ll prove more Bengalis dies in india post-71 with Nellie, Assam and other persecution. This was all in the Hamood Rehman Commission [a Bengali chief justice of Pakistan], but after 1974 'reconciliation pact' Pakistan govt. decided to forget the murders, go into ignorance and silence thinking that this would go away one can't chargesheet a mob, qand it would destroy our image in eyes of Bangladeshi 'brothers'.

Forgetful policy brings in disastrous consequences, lot of Biharis and Bengalis murdered by Mukti Bahini went in vain and this is karma of that also. Pakistan state ignored and let india loose on Bangladesh to use universities, academics and Banglaeeshi hindus to blackball Pakistan and remove every bit of common values they share. Sheikh Haseena is only doing what Mujib did'nt do, use of Bangla nationalism and propaganda related to 1971 as means to keep a corrupt foreign supported proxy despot in power.

As a student of Pak history, I wish to say Sheikh Mujib if handed power in 1970 was a better option than Bhutto and pro-muslim nothing close to what Sheikh Hasina and her son is, but unfortunately we as public were helpless then and Pakistan has to now counter this hate generation with a clear strategy thru means of soft power. If we don't engage Bangladesh then its better off to call off diplomatic ties and return to Pakistan's stance of 1974 and call Bangladesh as East Pakistan.

For a student of history you really know very little.

Anyways I would ask you to research on the following men and explain me how did they die. Hint : All intellectuals and all died in 1971.

Also Canadian court found no evidence of any corruption with Padma Bridge (Please do your research)

Also please note, unlike Pakistanis, we (Bangladeshis) do acknowledge crimes that had been commited against Indigenous hill track people. We also acknowledge that Biharis in the past has been subjected to racial attacks (some fatally). We are not only sorry but are ashamed of those acts.
As a result, we also made Biharis Bangladeshi citizens as per Supreme court ruling.

Unfortunately Pakistanis never acknowledged the genocide of Bengalis.
The best they can do is "let bygones be bygones" (thats BS)...

There are few I grieve about than man in your list filmmaker Riz Raihan, he still the first to direct and present the first Pakistani color film 'Sargam'. Probably would've been a great contributor if alive. I would've grieved for Gen. Zia ur Rehman although he killed a Pakistani senior rank but he still was better muslim and a patriot who did'nt sell himself. Don't understand what the f*** they would've done by being alive. If they were alive would Bangladeshi not be picking up garbage in Saudia & Malaysia. Gen. Ayub Khan refused Malaysia when they offered a bilateral deal to bring workers for menial jobs like trash picking. Amartya Sen the able Bangladeshi who ran into india's arms was'nt he alive after 71? These individuals only would've used your foolish jingoism to advance personal goals like doing middlemen for major corporations and settle their families abroad like US, UK, India. Half of the hindus or their children would've gone to India as the wonderful proud state of Bangladesh hindus have gone from 20+% to roughly 8-10%, anf this is the most anti-Pakistani community in your country, even more than the Dhaka Uni. communist clones who live on distant lands in Russia in their minds and the yellow drainage water flows beneath them.

Since you took the time to find all these 'intellectuals', please also take the time to tell me how many were active collaborators with Mukti Bahini terrorists and supported violence against the state.

We also acknowledge that Biharis in the past has been subjected to racial attacks (some fatally). We are not only sorry but are ashamed of those acts.

You know what they say, the proof is in the pudding. Instead of saying sorry, tell me about the condition of Biharis in Bangladesh as of this point. How many still live in refugee camps?
I can bet that the Bengalis who mass-migrated to Pakistan during the '70s and '80s live better off than your Biharis, despite living alongside us racist Pakistani bigots.

Although, dietary fat intake in Bangladeh is lower than India and Pakistan,it is not as skewed as your calculation shows.According to this source,Dietary fat intake in 2005-2007 for Bangladesh,India and Pakistan is 29gm,48gm and 67gm respectively.Or twice in case of Pakistan than Bangladesh or highest vs lowest among the three. You can come up with better source than it.

Well according to 2011 data back calculation (1 gm fat = 9kcal)

The supply estimated for that year is:

IND = .31*2459/9 = 85 grams
PAK = 0.395*2440/9 = 107 grams
BD = .11*2450/9 = 30 grams

So nothing out of the ordinary with the newer data on the face of it.

You chart shows consumption (from about 6 years before FAO data), not supply. Consumption would be some ratio of total supply depending on country...but it seems BD fat supply and consumption is not increasing all that much.

.
Its like our colony  and unlike British, we have our colony.

Your food is similar to Drividian people of South India. Why Bangal despite North East state have South Indian influenced diet ?

:-)

Food habits are not 'influenced' by social pressure or by imitating other social groups.

Food habits are formed by food available locally. In this case South Indian diet and Bangladeshi diet are similar because both areas are riverine and have plenty of water available, hence the abundance of fish, fruit, pulses and vegetable in the well-balanced agrarian diet in Bangladesh and South India (as opposed to milk/cheese-based or meat-based diet (for non-veg folks) from water-starved areas in North/NorthWest). For Vegetarian Hindus in water-starved areas (such as Gujarat), food typically contains a lot less water. Some Veg-based diets in areas like MP have foregone water altogether.

So called Genocide is the propaganda. show us 30 million Bengali kids with Pakistani features. where are the mass graves or the remains of the victims of genocide? Stop your fucking lies.

Pakistan spreading propaganda about 1971 genocide: PM

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina came down hard on Pakistan for spreading false and fabricated information regarding genocide carried out by the Pakistan occupation force during the Liberation War in 1971.

The Prime Minister said Bangladesh was liberated with the supreme sacrifice of the three million people and sanctity of two lakh mothers and sisters. It is an established fact as the entire world had witnessed the Pakistani cruelty in 1971.

“But their conspiracy is still going on, which came to light from a recently published book by a Pakistani author,” the Prime Minister said.

The Prime Minister said while distributing the Ekushey Padak-2017 at a function organised by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs at Osmani Memorial Hall in Dhaka on Monday, reports BSS.

The Prime Minister said that the writer, 'sponsored by the Pakistani intelligence agencies', completely ignored the killing, torture and repression of the Pakistani occupation forces on Bangalees in 1971.

The author also denied the fact that Pakistani forces carried out the genocide on Bangalee people first on the black night of March 25 in the year of liberation.

“This author has tried to present distorted information on our freedom struggle, and manipulated many photographs of the victims captured by the world media at that time with new captions and false narration . . . its’ their new conspiracy against our independence,” she said.

“(But) when Bangladesh as an independent state is moving fast economically, appearing as a role model of development in the world, in this time the Pakistani conspiracy is not acceptable at all,” the Premier said.

Sheikh Hasina said her government decided that from now on Bangladesh would observe March 25 as the Genocide Day and take initiatives to draw attention and recognition of the global community to “expose Pakistan’s brutality on Bangalee people”.

But, unfortunately, she said, a section of political leaders in Bangladesh, particularly BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia claimed that the figure is not true.

The Premier said Begum Zia’s claim was a ‘shame’ for the nation and disgrace for millions of martyrs and drew everybody’s attention to the links between the Pakistani propaganda and Khaleda Zia’s claims.

“The severity of genocide across the world is measured not by the number of victims but by the scale of cruelty of the perpetrators while in Bangladesh there is no family where at least one family member didn’t make supreme sacrifice life for independence,” the Premier said.

The Premier said the new generation must know the nation's glorious history to be prepared for the future challenges as "Bangladesh will not live bowing its head to others".

"We will develop the nation with our own resources to make a dignified position for us in the world," she said.

The Prime Minister urged everybody to remain careful so that none can destroy the achievements and successes of the Bangalee people saying the successes of the nation cannot be wiped out.

"As a nation Bangalee people have earned everything in exchange of huge sacrifice and struggle. We have to hold up these achievements and remain careful so that none can destroy these achievements," she said.

Congratulating the Ekushey Padak recipients, the Prime Minster hoped that the award would inspire the future generation to do more great work for the people, who would learn from them and follow their footprint.

The Prime Minister said as a nation Bangalees had a language, state and hundreds of years of history, culture and tradition. But, unfortunately a conspiracy was being hatched to send our culture and heritage to oblivion since formation of the artificial statehood of Pakistan.

Sheikh Hasina said her government is making constant stride to honour the personalities who are silently playing significant roles in the national arenas arts, literature and culture and the socioeconomic sectors.

"People of the country have even forgotten many of them (who had contributed to these areas) and even we have no information about them. But, we're trying to recollect those names," she said seeking peoples support in this initiative.

The Premier said Ekushey taught all to "raise our voice and forge resistance against any injustice and not to bow head to others and therefore the Ekushey is a very significant day for us".

Sheikh Hasina said the spirit of immortal Ekushey has transcended across the world following UN recognition to the historic day of February 21 as the International Mother Language Day.

"It's a great pride for us and simultaneously it has enhanced our responsibilities to develop our mother language and protect all mother languages of the world," she said recalling the role of two expatriate Bangladeshi nationals for their move to earn the UN recognition.

Out of that global responsibility, Sheikh Hasina said, her government established the International Mother Language Institute for conducting research on origin, evolution and development of all languages as well as their preservation and practice.

The Prime Minister said the right to speak in Bangla was achieved through a process of long struggle which began in 1948 and got final shape with the supreme sacrifice of the people on February 21, 1952.

"The struggle had gained ground in 1948 with formation of the 'Rashtrabasha Sangram Parishad' (Council for State Language) which was proposed by the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman," she said.

The Prime Minister said the supreme sacrifice on February 21, 1952 had created a renaissance in the spirit of Bengali people. Ekushey sprouted out the spirit of nationalism in the Bengali mind which eventually led to country's liberation.

"Bangladesh was born with the spirit of secularism. We have to uphold the spirit so that the country can ensure its position in the global community.

And it's possible through socio economic development of the country," she said. She expressed her firm confidence in bright future of the country saying "Bangladesh will go ahead and we will be able to build Bangladesh as a poverty and hunger free nation".

Minister for Cultural Affairs Asaduzzaman Noor presided over the function while it was conducted by Cabinet Secretary M Shafiul Alam.

Secretary in Charge of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs Ministry Ibrahim Hossain Khan gave welcome address.

Cabinet members, PM's advisors, judges, MPs, foreign diplomats, litterateurs, academics, Ekushey Award laureates of previous years and high civil and military officials attended the function.

This is the continuation of your previous calculation.I don't think any of the three county's average people get 39.5 percent of total caloric intake from fat alone..This is higher that many highly developed countries.India and Pakistan both have more hunger than Bangladesh.I don't think those hungry people are enjoying diet as diverse and rich as the citizen of developed countries. You can exercise as much mental gymnastics as you can,but you can't convince anyone with this dubious calculation.

I don't think any of the three county's average people get 39.5 percent of total caloric intake from fat alone

It is a supply figure....not consumption figure. Take it up with FAO (that is the base source for it). I dont think Pakistanis or anyone else is going to be licking the frying pan clean to get every drop of fat supply to them....this is just one example.

This is higher that many highly developed countries.India and Pakistan both have more hunger than Bangladesh.I don't think those hungry people are enjoying diet as diverse and rich as the citizen of developed countries.

More hunger according to who? Yet another index? Why prop up one index and throw away another just because you don't like what the latter says? This is the exact BBS mentality that will ensure BD remains a backward thinking nation.

Even according to GHI, the percentage of undernourished in India is less than BD. The component data that makes the overall index worse for India than BD (but India is improving at a faster rate) is the child mortality and nutrition indices.

That can also be turned around and rejected because "I don't think" blah blah blah. You see where this goes?

What cannot be denied are the REAL problems that are seen in 3rd party areas like the US....with BD immigrants facing 3 times or more the diabetes prevalence specifically because of their diets (which clearly correlates with the 80% carb energy assertion by FAO and FSI)

You telling me these people cannot afford a better diet?
