In India even the best of private schools follow state curriculum and are government aided. Education is one of the only things that makes me proud of my country. This year the IITs got a combined research grant of over 1000 crore rupees. At this rate, in the very near future we'll be challenging the best of the best.

Controlling corruption is just a Utopian idea......it can not be controlled in poor countries like ours'....but yeah it is going to increase.....

its 2.5 on education though its not enough, by standards it must be more than 6.0

Indian spending on Education was 2.89% last year, it was increased by 25% in this years budget and has therefore crossed 3.2%.
There are plans to increase it to 6% in next 5 yrs plan.
Pakistan's total spending on health + Education doesnot even cross 2%.
