Pakistan speeds up fencing border with Afghanistan

.
It has not yielded any rich dividends in the domain of anti-terrorism. Maybe filled coffers of some contractors and those who awarded these contracts, but that's the limit of the 'good' it has done to the country so far. TTP is back in the tribal districts in force. Baloch insurgents are more vociferous in their attacks than they have been at any point since the early 2000s, when the current wave of Balochistan insurgency began.

Don't be stupid, you don't know Jack, this has stopped infiltration, basically limits ingress of militants and weapons.

Where possible, it should be mined as well.
Tunnels could counter mines?

Could not stop the movement of men and materiel through subterranean channels, can it? That is what is happening in tribal districts currently, you would know better than me. Are we not getting at least 2 casualties per day in tribal districts and even settled districts? Are you suggesting that these are sleeper cells inflicting casualties on SFs that have been activated and not TTP members who have infiltrated from Afghanistan into our side?

True, it makes a lot easy to detect and neutralize ingress.

Why is there been a spike in terrorist attacks in the past 1 year? It begs the question. What if the terrorists do not cross through the fence on the surface but underneath it? KPK's settled districts have started seeing attacks as well. There has to be an explanation. Why the uptick in violence if fencing is so successful? Some would argue that this is due to the reunification of TTP which had splintered before, but we are told that 10,000 TTP members are in Afghanistan. Are these the sleeper cells of TTP factions that have been activated post reunification? These questions should find answers.

When will the war end? Can you say with certainty that after the entire Western frontier is fenced we will begin seeing things get better after the passage of a specific time span? What is the end game here? Soldiers die, sure (occupational hazard), but seeing their comrades fall each day takes a toll on morale as well (again, you would know better than any of us here).

Solid walls as well please where possible, concrete with barbed wire. More forward posts which are manned and well protected.
Remote gun units as well to be used in areas of terrorist concentration.

Don't be against fencing. It is need of the hour.

ISI should have a PR and give its residents an update and what is being done to safeguard Pakistani lives. Take more of an ownership please, I don't want to hear politicans waffle nonsense, I want ground facts from the intelligista.
