Political and Defense support from Turkey and China are great but we must make our economy the best in South Asia cause thats the only card India has we do not (1.) sadly they are the 2nd largest population in the planet cant change that unless we vaporize them but we will be gone (2.) they are services sector and IT sector is what's making them survive. I mean we should promote both Industrial and Service sector so when we are economically and defense strong wise we can counter this Bharti Bakts and we did it in the 1960s and a bit in the 1980s and early 1990s when Bhartis were going through License Raj Era and red tape

Beg to differ. The number one thing that "makes them survive" is Indian expat workers in Saudia Arabia, UAE etc who send back over $70 billion every year. That is more profit for India then any other industry.

True their largase of Gangas that remit money back is also a factor but they were lucky after 1991 when they got into Yankee good side and they ditched us

Indian's can cry and scream but the reality is Pakistan has come out on top in the recent surgical strikes saga with India. Just today the world can see the captured Indian pilot being given back to a chastised India.

But where is the great ummah Muslim brothers? Only Turkey and China have shown some support. Rest are lining up including Saudia Arabia, UAE to meet the special guest of honour - Sushma Swaraj from India. This is what the Ummah Muslims brotherhood is. If SDaudia, UAE, Palestine and the rest wanted they could easily pull back the invite to India. But no.

Pakistan will not attend the 46th session of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation's (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM), which is being hosted by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Abu Dhabi today and tomorrow.


This was announced by Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Friday during the joint session of parliament. Pakistan on Wednesday had officially conveyed to the OIC that it may have to boycott the foreign ministers conclave if the invitation extended to the Indian external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj to be guest of honour at its inaugural session is not withdrawn.


"I requested them [UAE] to review the decision [on invitation to India]. UAE said that when we extended the invitation, Pulwama had not occurred," Qureshi told lawmakers on Friday, adding that UAE officials said "it would be hard to retract the invitation".


"A joint resolution has been passed by the parliament, signed by all parties, which demands that Pakistan refrain from attending the OIC meeting. In light of this resolution, I will not attend the meeting," said Qureshi, amid near unanimous desk-thumping.


The foreign minister also informed the parliament that the OIC's secretary general as well as Turkish and Iranian foreign ministers had said that they were not consulted on the matter.

Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Friday announced that he will not attend the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) meeting in Dubai due to the attendance of Indian External Affairs Minister (EAM) Sushma Swaraj.

Sushma Swaraj has been invited as a "guest of honour" at the inaugural session of the foreign ministers' conclave in Abu Dhabi next month.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi said, "I will not attend Council of Foreign Ministers as a matter of principle for having extended invitation as a Guest of Honour to Sushma Swaraj."

Fuk OIC, its a useless organisation.

OIC is a good platform to discuss issues in the Muslim world.

Its not completely useless.

But inviting India to an OIC meeting is an insult to Pakistan.

Ummah simply means group of people. In our case, followers of Prophet Mohammed(SAW) are considered Umm'att Mohammed(SAW).

There is no Caliphate today where all Muslims can follow one leader who will advance interests of all Muslims. Today there are nation states, most of the governing bodies are not religious and rule via Authoritarianism, Monarchy, military rule, etc.... Thus they advance their state-based interests. That's no new discovery or anything surprising.

As for general Muslim civilian populace around the world, they view themselves more as an 'Ummah' and tend to sympathize with each other more. It's strange that you're discouraging that.
