The same question i asked asad. Why would a sunni radical group attack fellow sunnis? TTP does not attack civillians.Most civillian deaths occur as collateral damage. They are fighting against the GOP and its representatives- the armed forces. Not the common people. Heck 38% of your populace wants sharia as advocated by the TTP in pakistan.

TTP wants to implement its version of sharia in pakistan which is a sunni dominated landascape. No place for others.
Now coming to the attack on Marriot- It was the Marines that the so called attackers were after. Not after some pakistani elite enjoying a nice glass of scotch. Even funny is the thing. That no arrests have been made in connection with the attack. The suspects were caught and released. Hmm .says a lot.
Karachi Airport attack was a joint Op with the IMU.Their motive was a hostage scenario in order to force the GOP in meeting their demands. The firing on the PIA plane? I see no one claiming the attack...Could have been anyone given the fact that your ex nation is awash with weapons.
Why no one has voiced anything? o one wants to be killed by the army and ISI I suppose? Your ex nations shamocracy is a shining example of how to use the gun to force a resolution.

Yep which is why there was massive support for the army operation against a radicalized group. Which why the top three parties in the govt which came through popular vote ( N, PPP, PTI) are democratic and speak of long democracy in pakistan and never abt shariah or caliphate. Which is also why parties who speak of such things barely get any seats. ( the islamic parties). Which is why in these elections where turn out was massive ( infact the most in pakistan history) The people who were chanting change chose not islamic parties but democratic parties. Elections where a massive amount of youth was said to have participated chose either N or PTI both heavily democratic parties who believe in democracy.

The best Protection against Radicalization is Education.

No, most of PDF members agree that education is least important for Pakistan. They care about subsidies, cheap hajj fare, subsidy on electricity, on transportation, petrol.... Basically they want entire Pakistan on subsidy, if not free.

When it comes to education, they send children to madrasas, who are also run on 'bad' subsidies and who then add radical approach to their lives.


Education is what prepares us for future. There are mental crooks out there. But if these fata people were given a proper education, they wouldn't be blowing up places.

Until we shift almost entire subsidies towards education, Pakistan will remain a s hole. Have as many jets, guns or bomb proof car, you'll never feel safe. Going on Hajj, owning a car, having an AC are all luxuries and can be lived without. But education is not.


I made another thread where gov't is allocating 500m towards giving one month subsidy for petrol. My argument was to use it for building a school or university. Then one PDF member jumped in saying subsidy is needed to keep food prices low.

Starvation comes out from lack of education, not lack of funds to buy food. Africa has gold mines, yet no education, and we can see the result

They have diamond mines too. Read up conflict diamonds. Or conflict minerals. Tehy have zero education and so are exploiated so easily. Just as we Pakistanis are by China. We don't have capabilities to build Gawadar port, so China will use it for herself and pay few nickles but have big boost for itself. The Africans do earn money, but only to live another day, just as we're getting paid by China and continue being 'at her service'

If we owned and operated port ourselves, we could dictate the fees with China. We could make our nuclear electricity without begging other nations to help us out.

Look up cuba. It has severe embargo, but it has best health service. Why? The education is world class. Almost no child is without education. They ride in old cars, old planes, small military to fight CIA influence, but their education has prevailed.

Here we're nuclear state but we can't fight outside influence, be it Afghanistan! Because our education hasn't prevailed. What has prevailed is subsidized nation and subsizdized hungry people roaming street, voting the corrupt for cheap electricity or petrol or day's roti and letting them get away with looting the economy for 5 years.

I will give u 10/10 (Full marks). About the diamond mine in Africa,I think it is Kalhari.Well I have not read the book conflict diamonds but I have seen the movie "BLOOD DIAMONDS",have u seen it. I am a Indian working as a export officer working for a Multi National company which deals in Diamonds &other precious stones such as ruby,sapphires. My parents use to say me,when a person dies,u can distribute his wealth & assets but not his education & knowledge.I wish that India & Pakistan divert more funds for education rather then going for the latest tanks & fighter planes.

About nuclear electricity,I have certain reservations.Nuclear electricity is very costly,better to go for other cheaper sources

In short if the people were educated,they would have voted for better governance,accountability rather then voting for the corrupt.
