At the end of the day, Indians don't have a prayer in Afghanistan. The day NATO Forces leave Afghanistan, Indians will be making a B-line out of Kabul before Taliban makes toast out of them and you Indians know this. Indians forget one thing, Pakistan is a geographical reality in Afghanistan so get used to it. Pakistan will protect its National Interest in Afghanistan regardless of what India says. You Indians can jump up and down but that just shows your Helplessness. There is nothing the Indians can do about Pakistan pursuing its national Interest - NOT SQUAT. It rather reflects American intentions and future plans.

Afghanistan is a pawn in the regional geopolitical conflict between countries such as Pakistan, India, Iran, Russia and China.

India wasnt even in the limelight on this front until recent past since they began investing in Afghanistan interms of money, resources and other pacts etc. All other countries (Pakistan, Iran, Russia and China.) have their own different direct ties with Afghanistan because of all of them SHARE border with Afghanistan.

But if the Americans are calling it AfPak, instead of AfIndia, or AfIran, it is not just a matter of phonetics. In comparison to other players, Pakistan’s role in Afghanistan is the most critical one. But so far, that role has been more of a destructive one, rather than a constructive one.

That statement is based on what American point of view is. Blaming Pakistan for America`s failure to restore peace in Afghanistan will get them no where let alone be victorious.

Pakistan is waging its proxy war with India in Afghan territories. But this is a war it cannot win. What’s more, while waging this war, it is fast becoming a failed state – if it is not one already – which could land it the category of rogue state

Like all the countries in world, Pakistan has the right to protect itself against any malicious activities targeted on it. If India is involved in such activities against Pakistan in Afghanistan, then its Pakistan`s right to take measures to ensure failure of Indian plans. Pakistan is not going to become a failed state. It has managed to not become a failed state uptil now AGAINST all odds, and will continue to do so inshAllah

But at the end of the day, treating Afghanistan as its backyard and waging a proxy war will be to the detriment of Pakistan’s own interests. Pakistan needs to change course and stop relying on its nuisance value.

Like all other countries, Pakistan cannot afford to stop caring about its interests with its neighbouring countries, most important of which is Pakistan. Pakistan`s relationship with Afghanistan cannot be taken as global standard relations of different countries with eachother. Bordering areas of Pakistan and Afghanistan have acted as virtually NO BORDER since centuries. People on both sides travel within two lands WITHOUT visa and passport. BOTH governments know this and have had no objection because both countries understand ground realities of the area. This travel of people within two lands gives this border a UNIQUE position in world.

Which empire to its knees? Last time i checked Pakistan was not an "empire" it was a small state along the western border of India.
