Pakistan should raise India's 'state-sponsored terrorism' in Kashmir at UN: AJK PM

Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider on Thursday called for the government to raise India's 'state sponsored terrorism' in held Kashmir in the UN Security Council.

“Across the world, even the oppressors cannot go beyond a certain limit in use of force against the oppressed. Indian troops have crossed all limits and the way they are killing the Kashmiris, demolishing their properties and molesting their women is unprecedented in modern history,” Haider said at a press conference in Muzaffarabad.

“As prime minister of the liberated territory of Kashmir as well as a common Kashmiri, I call upon the Government of Pakistan to raise this issue in the UN Security Council in accordance with the UN Charter,” he added.

The AJK PM's statement comes in the wake of the killing of three civilians and injuries to 28 others in anti-India protests in India-held Kashmir.

The protests had followed a gun battle between separatists and government forces that killed at least one rebel.

Haider added that Indian Army Chief Gen Bipin Rawat had recently given a 'license to kill' to his troops by warning that those who creating difficulties for security security forces in the valley would face “tough action.”

“The statement was a clear indication of the designs of the Indian occupation machinery that has already unleashed a reign of terror in held Kashmir,” Haider said.

He said members of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation’s International Permanent Human Rights Commission (IPHRC) were shown a documentary prepared by a Qatar-based TV channel on the human rights situation in held Kashmir during their recent visit to Muzaffarabad.

“While watching the video, the members remarked many a time that they did not have any idea that the situation in occupied Kashmir was so dreadful,” Haider said.

The AJK government, he said, had presented its case before the IPHRC and asked its members to convince their governments concerned to decide their trade and other economic relations while keeping India's track record in occupied Kashmir in mind.

He also called upon international media to realise its 'responsibility' to expose atrocities committed by Indian occupation forces in held Kashmir so as to make it known to the world what India had been hiding behind an iron curtain.

Constitutional reforms in AJK
On the issue of constitutional reforms in AJK, Haider expressed gratitude to the federal government for realising its need, adding that “the prevailing Interim Constitution Act, 1974, had failed to meet the demands of present time.”

The existing constitution had also been impeding the progress of this territory in many ways, he said.

Earlier this month, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had constituted a high-powered committee led by Foreign Affairs Adviser Sartaj Aziz and comprising Federal Minister for Law Zahid Hamid, Federal Minister for Kashmir affairs Barjees Tahir and PM’s adviser on law Barrister Zafarullah, to suggest reforms for AJK’s Constitution in consultation with a committee from AJK comprising Prime Minister Haider and AJK Law Minister Raja Nisar Ahmed Khan.

Haider said the AJK government had prepared a draft for appointments, which had been discussed with the Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, who also happens to be the in-charge of the AJK Council, before putting it up before the main committee.

Haider said he had contacted almost all opposition parties so as to reach a consensus on this issue.

“I am quite sure that these affairs will be settled amicably,” he said.

Status of Gilgit-Baltistan
Haider said that everyone in AJK agrees that the people of Gilgit-Baltistan should have their due rights.

He clarified that the federal government had not formally spoken to the AJK government as yet on the proposed provincial status for GB.

“I am however sure the government of Pakistan will keep in view the sensitivities of Kashmir issue while granting rights to the people of GB.”

He said he would soon visit GB to put a rest to an “misgivings, if there are any.”

THIS President should first stop calling himself Azad.. because he had to sign deceleration of submission to Pakistan before he was handed this post by Pakistani leadership in Charity...

Pakistan should raise all such issues in UN

But there is a catch. UN has yet to define what constitute terrorism.

Hopefully Pakistan being the worst victim of terrorism could help UN in this regard. :azn:

.
Speaking as if GB belongs to Pakistan and he has become a part of Pakistani Govt. setup !

all is not fair in love & war in Islam, there are some boundaries of morality, humanity for love & war in Islam, if u exclude the boundaries you are going to lose respect, understanding & humanity either in love or in war.

even Muslims dont know about true islaam. in Islam killing human is strictly prohibited until and unless retaliation. only retaliation is allowed but with conditions. 1. dont kill innocent children, woman and elders during retaliation 2. dont harm people's properties until there is enemy 3. treat ur prisoners nicely and tell them ur reason of retaliation 4. dont occupy the land and resources of non-muslims or muslims except the property of battle ground but provide them a shelter and encourage them to bring the prosperity and humanity after wining war 5. preach them about islaam that means peace ... i forgot other conditions

retaliation does not means that u disagree with someone. retaliation means if someone attack on your territory , property with unwarranted concern and u fight until enemy dont leave ur territory, if they leave without utilizing ur resources then retaliation should be finished , unfortunately non-muslim countries always try to invade and occupy Muslims countries and when muslims retaliate then there u go u find out the terrorist . but muslims should follow the conditions about retaliation in Islam which is really very hard to implement but u have to implement if u wana save the humanity in the world, i can see there will be no humanity in this world by human. until human dont preach about true Islam

if india is right that means 99% non Muslims are wrong those dont rise the voice against injustice with Muslims all around the world in Palestine, kashmir, syria, iraq, yaman ,myanmar and afghanistan.. is this their justice? have u ever seen any non-muslim country is being occupied by Muslims? and the answer is NO.. but still we (Muslims) are known as terrorist , what an injustice.. why there is not a single non-muslim country in the world that can teach about peace & humanity to their people with Muslims? or they think that Muslims are animals ?

UN Resolution? forget about UN Resolution. we both dont have balls to face it.

"Both India and Pakistan raised objections to the Resolution
India objected first of all that the resolution placed India and Pakistan on an equal footing, ignoring the complaint of Pakistani aggression and Kashmir's legal accession to India. Secondly, it objected to the absence of allowance for it to retain troops in the state for its defence. It also felt the requirement of a coalition government would put Sheikh Abdullah, then Prime Minister of Kashmir, in an impossible position. It said that the powers conferred on the Plebiscite Administrator were far too wide and undermined the state's sovereignty. It felt that provision for the return of all refugees was unrealistic. Finally, India wanted Pakistan to be excluded from the conduct of the plebiscite.

Pakistan objected to the retention of the Indian forces in Kashmir, even at the minimum level allowed by the resolution. It wanted an equal representation in the government of the state for the Muslim Conference, the dominant party of the Pakistani-held Kashmir. The Pakistani government circles felt that the Security Council deliberations had been favorable to Pakistan but the final proposals were modified by the United States and Britain to "mollify" India. Britain came in for particular criticism.
Both the sides however welcomed the UN Commission and agreed to work with it"

Terrorism Factory Nation .... destabilized entire region since long time... INDIA

ETIM?? Really? Now that you cannot blame Israel for this, you blame us?
We have nothing to do with ETIM. It is a group based on your religion and religion-based separatism, in China.

TTP? Well if you cannot deal with your own creations and call them as 'good taliban' and 'bad taliban' then the problem is yours. Not ours. Our PM has been asking nations to unite against terrorism around the world, irrespective of their culture or faith.

Mukti Bahini? Well I guess Bangladeshis can answer that to you better especially since they hanged a few barbarians now for killing innocent people in the 71 war.

We sent SLPKF to get rid of LTTE in the 80s. Let's not get into what happened according to your generals.
