It would be interesting to know what the purpose of the rather old horse Falcon -20 would have been and how the Erieyes and Falcon-20s worked side by side and what their respective roles were.
Did PAF use the 4 Il-78MPs for mid flight refueling of the strike force and if they were in the air how were they protected by PAF, was it the F16s or JF17s or were they covered by SAMs? One thing we can be sure PAF won't use the same strategy twice as it no longer a surprise and certainly PAF has more surprises in store. Also, didn't we have Chinese Eagle Y8 AWACs too, what were they doing in the fray? There are so many bits of the puzzle missing and PAF is only revealing a bit at a time.
So we must have had 3 AWACs , one midair refueler, F16s, JF17s, Mirages, J7s flying all at the same time. PAF must have done some intensive integrating and training to use such a mixture of platforms, sensors and weapons systems at the same time , a quite a remarkable feat and to have pulled it off against one of the largest Airforce in the region. With so many Pakistani assets flying at the same time and all talking to each other it must have overloaded the Indian radar screens and boggled the Indian operations room.
