I was not expecting this at least from you. This ummah 'whatever' is the concept in Quran and of Mohammed (PBUH) so please be little respectful here.

I wasn't talking about any religious stuff here. The word ummah I used was totally in context of today's Muslim world, the same Ummah word these Arab Kings use so often to brag about when they are in need, and the same Ummah they throw away as a tissue paper after they are done with their interests.

I will bear an expenses of 1 family at least, for two years or 5 years, and if I can afford it forever I will never ask them to leave.

This is very easy to say like this. But it is not possible to keep them here for years unless we are rich Country like K.S A. Our economy can't feed them. Same thing you people said in Soviet afghan war , but practically not feasible for fragile economy like Pakistan. Last time, thousands People were joining taliban and other groups to feed themselves and for few bucks & selling drugs , & other illegal activities.
Syrians should ask help from Allah.

I understand that and appreciate your feelings too. However, we cant abondon certain things and concepts simply because they are abused by others. The last sermon of our beloved Prophet (PBUH) describes clearly the concept of ummah and how much it is valued. You may want to use words such as unity of Muslim countries etc.

I tell you one more thing and with absolute certainty that hearts of a majority of Muslims scattered across the world beat in synchrony and they feel pain for each other and share happiness too. The division is at the governmental level and not among the public. Never forget what Allama Iqbal said about ummah:

This pic hit kind of hard. Having nieces and nephews the around the same age. But i'm more disappointed by the responses by members.

On one side every Pakistani was happy that the EU was giving preferential treatment to Pakistani Textiles after the 2011? Flooding. But theres a double-standard when an individual who has lost everything to war.

These refugees paid 2,000 Euros each to the a-hole smugglers who jumped ship once the going go rough.

Alhamdulillah, hopefully, none of you will be in a similar situation as these Syria refugees. Otherwise you would be doing the same thing.



What makes you think the Syrians will just be sitting around begging for food. Did you not read that the literacy rate was 85+% They are educated individuals.

Why not give these people the option to come to Pakistan. See how many are willing to take the offer up.

Just a few days ago you had Dawn News reporting about Somali refugees who are school, operating businesses and working. Give these people the option. What are you going to lose?

Surprised..yes little bit...cant understand their ummah concept, they can provide all support in name of ummah to fight war in another country but not willing to accept refugee in same name of ummah.

That is the ultimate hypocrisy of the matter. The People who are most proximate to it all, the ones who are responsible for creating that whole mess are sitting with their heads bent into the desert sands while the the tragedy unfolds. They are not only placed advantageously in terms of geography but in terms of resources to provide succor. It is far easier for the refugees to walk across in to KSA than to undertake a perilous voyage across the Mediterranean in fragile craft.
And these very countries wanted other countries including Pakistan to provide cannon-fodder when their aristocracy is threatened all in the name of "umma".

OTOH, there is now a thread here where a Pakistani proposes that Pakistan should provide shelter to the unfortunate refugees and provide humanitarian aid. A striking contrast......

..because we have a gene of humanity,which only shows expression inside our body and mind.We cannot become iron hearted like other kharjis ruling rich muslim countries.This is the core reason we are gifted with nuclear technology with better weapons and armed forces and have chances to advance further,because we are alive.

If the Pakistani Economy can't feed Pakistanis themselves, lets have a purge. Kill every poor, homeless, drug using, family with more then 8 people, unemployed, handicapped individuals.

I'm sure they wouldn't mind to 'take it for the team' aka greater good of Pakistan.

Do you know how many worthless Americans there are here? Sitting around collecting welfare checks for themselves and their 10 kids? Surely there are those who deserve help and are just down on their luck, and we have thousands of volunteers collecting food, money, arranging for healthcare and housing for them. Americans are willing to go to jail to feed a homeless man.
