Its negative aspect is its speed as it is subsonic but its payload and manouverability seems impressive as it can carry many types of weapons

We need Chinese J-11 aircrafts. I think IK should pursue Putin to allow Chinese J-11 sales to Pakistan when he visit Russia. J-11 will further put a dent in IAF doctrine and strategy. IF not allowed then Pakistan must pursue Russian SU-35 or Mig-35 option because no f-15, F-35C or F-18 options are available and Eurofighter is too expensive. We need at-least one twin engine air superiority heavy fighter to match the Rafale. JF-17 Block 3 will handle most of IAF assets. And Project Azm will cover the rest of Indian Air defense.

Although that window has gone past in early 2000's, Pakistan could have gone for F-16 TOT instead of buying F-16 through FMF.

I just hope Pakistan should start studying on mirage type aircraft (delta wing deep strike profile). I think right now redesigning jf-17 into delta wing profile will not only reduce research cost, but also it will lower cost on operating on different platform.

we have JF17s as our light weight multi role aircraft.

We have Mirages as our main strike aircraft.

We have F16 as our main Multi role heavy weight fighter.

We really don't need another light weight aircraft. What we do need is a replacement to our Mirages as main heavy role strike aircraft.

to complete the package. Unfortunately Mirage IIIs and Vs are very old. India already has Mirage 2000s and about to acquire the Rafale.

leaves us with Russian options who will not sell to us due to Indian pressure.

lastly we have the american option of F18 hornet but they wont sell us either.

So all in all we have basically no options to replace our aging MIrages sadly.

Speed is everything. Sub-sonic is not good specially when you're up against the extremely fast paced Sukhoi's.

Delta wings is suitable for air superiority and interceptor but as for deep strike role straight high wing loading jets which can fly nap of the earth is more suitable Like JH-7/Su-24/25/A-10/F-111 etc etc @Hex0maniac

Speed is everything. Sub-sonic is not good specially when you're up against the extremely fast paced Sukhoi's.

Its just a trainer/LIFT conversion trainer and light attack jet not fighter jet @Alternatiiv
