i am unlucky that in my area i get only BSNL..but my friend has hathway and he pays 3300 for six months for 5 MBPS...i wish i had hathway in my area

PTCL is also working GPON (Fiber to Customer Premisses). They are already testing GPON in Lahore.Wateen is using HFC Network in DHA which can offer quite high bandwidth with cable and tv along with internet.

Why you bring India in each and every article ? Too much of obsession is not good. There are 10,000 way where India is far ahead than Pakistan. What's the point in bringing 1-2 way ? Even, We have few largest telecom company. Have you heard the name " Bharti Airtel" ?

We have IPTV in Delhi where we get 2 MB speed broadband Unlimited + Telephone Connection + 300 Satellite Channel with HD quality and stereo Dolby sound (We can rewind, Pause any channel) + we can watch any Video/Movie on VoD. and Yes, All in Single Wire!! Do you have such option in Pakistan ? You don't even have DTH and we have 7 big DTH companies and now even DTH is old and we watch HD Channels with Rewind any channel and we have access of 500 channels.

We in the Emirates probably have the most expensive internet...

I remember in early 2000s I went to Worldcall office and asked for a 512 kbps line and they were like "Itni speed ka karna kya hai?" . Then after 1 week they gave me a quote for PKR 100,000

Whats the charges for this 50 mbps connection? I am assuming that they are offering this to common masses.Educational or financial organizations etc probably have high speed connection already.

2 Mbps at 1499 wow you guys are lucky ....For most indians the only true UL plans available is BSNL UL750 plan with 512kbps speed.We all had high hopes for 3G from BSNL but it stopped all UL plans for 3G recently.Broadband in india sucks big time.

I realy wonder...........why India didn't developed in this sector..........where in India IT was adopted long time agao than Pakistan.....also in Cities like Banglore, Dehli and Bomby there are big companies like Microsoft, SUN and Oracle they have branches and training centers...and Pakistan still lack behind.

people just dont know where to look...hathway provides best plans and so does many other ISPs..but people are struck with bsnl

We already developed decade back. 1 MB Internet is very common everywhere including small town. Here in Delhi, We have 2 MB broadband in 1,000-1200 Rs per month. Also, with every broadband you get a Free Land line(Telephone) connection too.

Now broadband is decade old thing. There are some 5-10 big companies providing. it's very common. Now we have IPTV with 300 HD Channels + VoD + Rewind/Pause any channel Free with every 2 MB Broadband connection in 1499 Rs only. All in single wire.

For Company or official level, We have option for leased line with 50 MB broadband. Also, We have Satellite Broadband, Outdoor WiFi and Mobile Internet service too. In Short, We have almost all types of Modern Technology.

That plan by BSNL 512kbps @ 750 INR/month is mainly for smaller towns and villages where other ISPs are unavailable.In bigger cities we have lot of options.I use TataIndicom 2 mbps @ 1350 INR/month.

still tataIndicom is very costly...hathway is cheapest i guess....

now their the wateen one cost 211dhs for 1mb unlimited.and now when i was coming back to pak in april my brother upgraded the net to 4mb with the same cost i dontknow how he did it.

Lol :p i am Using PTCL Broadband service 4mb Connection + IPTV + 150 Channels HD Quality and stereo dolby sound ( i can also rewind n pause any channel ) just of 2500 PKR .
